New findings are connecting menopause and Alzheimer’s in a way that can no longer be ignored.

For decades, we assumed women were at higher risk simply because they lived longer. But the truth is more complex and more urgent.

Dr. Lisa Mosconi has been sounding the alarm for years and now the research is catching up. and now the research is catching up.

Dr. Mosconi’s work reveals that the drop in estrogen during menopause doesn’t just change our bodies. It changes our brains.

Your Body's Natural Rhythm in Menopause

Women often tell me:

"I feel like I'm running on empty."
"My body used to work like clockwork — now it's all over the place."

Did you know your energy shifts every hour of the day? During menopause, these rhythms can feel disrupted

In both Eden Energy Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine, the 24-hour meridian clock is honoured — a cycle where different organ systems peak at different times of day, influencing mood, digestion, hormones, energy and emotional processing. Your body still has a rhythm — it's just asking you for a new way to listen 🙏

And now, science echoes this wisdom:
Microcirculation — the movement of blood through your tiniest vessels — also follows a circadian rhythm. It’s vital for cellular health, hormone delivery, emotional balance, and recovery. Especially during menopause.

During perimenopause and menopause, our internal rhythms become more sensitive. Hormonal shifts affect everything from sleep to stress resilience.

By tuning into your body's natural energy flow (instead of pushing against it) you can:

- Support hot flushes and improve sleep by honouring the times the Liver/Gallbladder are most active (11PM-3AM). These nighttime hours are crucial for detoxification. Try winding down before 11PM to give your body the rest it needs during this peak cleansing time.

- Ease anxiety and morning fatigue with gentle morning practices.

Between 3-5AM, your Lung energy is rising, supporting breath and emotional release.

WHEN I AM AMONG THE TREES

“When I am among the trees,
especially the willows and the honey locust,
equally the beech, the oaks and the pines,
they give off such hints of gladness.

I would almost say that they save me, and daily.

I am so distant from the hope of myself,
in which I have goodness, and discernment,
and never hurry through the world
but walk slowly, and bow often.

Around me the trees stir in their leaves
and call out, “Stay awhile.”

The light flows from their branches.

And they call again, “It’s simple,” they say,
“and you too have come
into the world to do this, to go easy, to be filled
with light, and to shine.”❤️❤️
