There are some things most of us hope we’ll never need to think about as parents… and baby/child CPR and choking first aid often sits quietly in that space.

But in real life, it’s usually the small, unexpected moments at home where having even a basic understanding can help you feel steadier in how you respond.

This workshop isn’t about making anyone an expert or adding pressure. It’s simply about giving you clarity on what to do in those first few moments, when staying calm matters most.

It’s kept very practical and down-to-earth, with space to ask questions and take things at a steady pace.

Baby & Child CPR and Choking Workshop

Small group, hands-on, practical guidance in a calm setting.

Some mums say Nest was the first place they felt like themselves again after having a baby.

Some say it gave them the confidence to leave the house.

Others found friendships, support, laughter, tears, and people who truly *get it*.

For many, Nest became more than a class.
It became part of their motherhood story. 🤍

A space to be held while holding everyone else.
A place where both mum and baby matter.
Where you can arrive exactly as you are, tired, joyful, overwhelmed, healing, growing and know you belong.

Every cuddle shared after class, every conversation over coffee, every deep breath in yoga, every “me too” moment… it all matters.

We’re so grateful to be a small part of so many motherhood journeys.

We hear this all the time…

“I wish I’d found this sooner.”

And it’s not just about the classes.

It’s the feeling.

It’s about walking into a room and not feeling like the odd one out.

It’s about feeling understood….being around other mums who get it without you having to explain everything.

It’s about feeling included….conversation happening naturally, not forced.

At Nest, we’ve built something a bit different.

Daytime is for you and your baby together.
Movement, play, singing, development, bonding and connection
A space where you don’t need childcare and you definitely don’t need to have it all together.

Evenings shift slightly.
Adult-only classes. Relaxation. Creativity. Conversation.
Time to move, breathe, switch off and come back to yourself.

It’s not just a place to “go to a class”.
It’s a home you come back to.

And that’s why so many mums say the same thing…

“I wish I’d found this sooner.”

This is Nest 🤍

A space created because maternal loneliness is far more common than people realise.

We hear it all the time from new mums:

“I didn’t realise how lonely this stage would feel.”

Because suddenly your whole world changes overnight.

Your routine changes.
Your relationships change.
Your identity changes.

And for many mums, the days can become very long and very isolating.

Someone told me yesterday that research shows new mums can often spend up to 8 hours a day alone with just their baby.

And honestly… I can believe it.

That’s exactly why Nest exists.

Not just for classes.
But for connection.

For structure in your week.
For proper adult conversation.
For movement that helps you feel good in your body again.
For being around other women in the same season of life.

Because sometimes what supports maternal mental health most isn’t another thing to “fix” yourself…

It’s simply not feeling so alone in it all.

So if you’ve never heard of us before, this is your sign to come in and see what it feels like for yourself 🤍

So far this week at Nest, we’ve welcomed five new people on a one-week free trial, had three new members sign up to our weekly membership, launched our first after-school offering for primary school-aged kids, hosted two birthday parties, and had three really exciting meetings about upcoming events and courses launching soon.

Looking back over the past year of Nest honestly feels emotional to me at times. I think because I’m always planning the next step, the next move, the next expansion, I don’t always stop and fully take it in.

But when I do, I’m genuinely blown away by the response. Every class booking, every new member, every message, every family walking through the doors… it means so much.

And trust me, there’s always something new coming.

You almost didn’t come.

The baby had cried getting into the car seat. You hadn’t brushed your hair properly. You felt awkward walking into a room where you didn’t know anyone.

And a part of you wondered if it was even worth the effort.

But then you walked in.

Someone smiled at you. Another mum started chatting while you got settled. Nobody cared if your baby cried. Nobody expected you to have it together.

And somewhere between the songs, the movement and the sensory play…

you felt your nervous system soften a little.

Not because everything in motherhood suddenly became easier.

But because for the first time in a while, you didn’t feel like you were carrying it all alone.

That’s the part people don’t always see from the outside.

Nest was never just about giving babies something to do.

It was about creating the kind of space I wish more mothers had in those early postpartum years.

A reason to leave the house. A conversation that makes you feel normal again. A room full of women who understand without needing an explanation.

And honestly… sometimes that changes everything 🤍

When I tell you new concept sessions are coming to Nest… what I’m not telling you is:

These ideas are not random, not plucked out thin air

They come from fragments of conversations with you.

Messages sent at 2am.

Things said quietly after class.Moments where a mum has admitted she’s struggling.

Things I wished existed in my own postpartum years.

Because Nest was never built from a business plan alone.

It was built from lived experience.

From watching what mothers are actually carrying.

From noticing the gaps.
The loneliness.
The overstimulation.
The mental load.
The need for spaces that support the mother too.

So when we create new sessions, they’re not random ideas thrown together for a timetable.

They are usually the result of months of listening.

Listening to what motherhood actually feels like right now.

And honestly… some of the things coming next feel really special 🩷

One thing I wasn’t prepared for in early motherhood…was how emotionally confusing it could feel.

How I could love my baby more than anything…but still feel lonely. Overwhelmed. A bit lost in myself.

How I could spend all day with another human attached to me…and still feel like no one was really holding me.

And once the appointments slowed down and life moved on around me, I remember realising…

this is the point where so many mums are left to just figure it out alone.

That’s exactly why we created The Village at Nest 🤍

An 8-week postpartum support group for mums between 6 weeks and 6 months postpartum.

Led by our incredible doula and perinatal educator, Aurelija of each week you’ll come together with the same group of mums to talk honestly about motherhood, postpartum and everything that comes with it.

This program is designed to be that bridge between your early days Midwife and Health Visitor visits and the wider network of Support that exists in central Scotland

Different guest experts will join us throughout the 8 weeks to offer support, guidance and reassurance too.

But honestly… the most important part will probably be the other women in the room.

The friendships. The conversations. The feeling of realising you’re not the only one feeling this way.

Because motherhood was never supposed to be journeyed alone

Some spaces make you feel like you need to have it all together before you walk through the door.

Nest was created as the opposite of that.

A place where you can arrive exactly as you are, tired, overwhelmed, touched out, healing, rebuilding, unsure, hopeful. A place where nobody expects perfection and where motherhood isn’t treated as something to “bounce back” from.

We believe support should feel human.

Not intimidating.

Not performative.

Not one more thing to keep up with.

Just real connection, movement that supports your body properly, conversations that matter, and people who genuinely understand this season of life.

If you’ve been looking for somewhere that feels softer, slower, more supportive and more aligned with the kind of motherhood journey you want… you’ll probably feel at home here.
