National Swimmer Allanah making these pull ups look easy this morning in her session.
Her normal swim training has been off over Christmas but she's still been in for her usual weekly strength sessions with me.
During our sessions we focus on several things:
✅️ upper body pulls (to pull more water efficiently)
✅️Core work (to keep your body streamlined in the water)
✅️ glute strength (for stronger kicks and starts)
✅️ leg strength (for kick efficiency and powerful turns)
These pull ups focus on lats and upper back power which make them a very swim-specific exercise.
Allanah is very committed to her nutrition, hydration and more recently her mobility and stretching. All of these components make such a difference to overall performance.
