Out of office is on ✈️☀️

I often encourage my clients to slow down, rest, and take proper breaks… so it’s important that I practice what I preach too.

We can be so good at reminding everyone else to pause, while forgetting to give ourselves permission to do the same. Rest isn’t lazy, it’s necessary. Taking time to recharge helps us return with more energy, clarity, and calm.
So for the next little while, I’ll be stepping back, switching off, and soaking up some well-earned downtime.

Last night I woke at 4:30am with a head full of thoughts… all the things I needed to sort before my holiday started racing through my mind. Sound familiar?

It took me over two hours to drift back to sleep before my 7:30am alarm, and I know I’m not the only one who’s had nights like that. Sometimes the mind loves to wake up in the early hours and convince us everything needs solved right now.

The truth is, none of those thoughts needed dealt with at 4:30am. They could wait until morning. Even as a mindfulness coach, I still have moments where the “monkey mind” takes over. We’re all human, and you’re definitely not alone if this happens to you too.

A gentle reminder : not every thought needs your attention the moment it appears. Sometimes the kindest thing we can do is pause, breathe, and come back to it later.
