Ayurveda for People and Planet: Harmony of Mind, Body, Society & Environment

What an inspiring day !
On Saturday, 20th September 2025, we proudly celebrated World Ayurveda Day in collaboration with the Consulate General of India, Edinburgh, Mother Earth Hindu Temple, Glasgow, and Patanjali Yog Peeth (UK) Trust.

The event brought together communities, experts, dignitaries, and wellness enthusiasts in a powerful celebration of the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda , a science that continues to nurture balance, healing, and sustainability in our modern world.

๐Ÿ™ A very special thank you to Mother Earth Hindu Temple Glasgow for graciously hosting this vibrant and meaningful celebration. Your warm hospitality and beautiful venue created the perfect spiritual and cultural atmosphere for the dayโ€™s events.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Sunita Poddar, Trustee of Patanjali Yog Peeth UK Trust, for her unwavering dedication and tireless efforts in promoting holistic well-being across the UK. Your leadership and heartfelt welcome set the tone for a beautiful and transformative day. ๐ŸŒธ

A special thanks to Dr. Anupama Monga, whose enlightening presentations throughout the event brought the heart of Ayurveda to life , from Ayurvedic nutrition and lifestyle practices to dosha-balancing yoga, meditation, and pulse diagnosis. Your wisdom, clarity, and deep-rooted authenticity touched and inspired every participant. ๐ŸŒบ

โœจ We were honoured to be joined by distinguished guests:
โ€ข Shri Siddharth Malik, Consul General of India, Edinburgh
โ€ข Lord Provost Mary Montague
โ€ข Dr. Srihari Vallabhajousula
โ€ข Dr. Avinash Lagoo, Dr. Neeba Narayanan, Mark Cairns, and many more contributors who enriched the panel discussions and interactive sessions.

The day was filled with insightful talks, Ayurvedic demos, hands-on workshops, youth activities, delicious satvik lunch, sound healing, each element echoing the timeless message of Ayurveda: Living in harmony with nature and self.

๐ŸŒผ To all the volunteers, participants, dignitaries, and community members , thank you for making this celebration such a resounding success.

๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง A Proud Day in Parliament! ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธ

Last Friday, Patanjali Yog Peeth UK Trust had the honour of attending the UK Parliament as a guest of Seema MalhotraMP to officially recognise International Day of Yoga. It was an incredible way to end our month-long celebration with Sadhvi Devaditi.

Our charity trustee, Sunita Poddar, utilised this platform to formally introduce PYPTโ€™s ambitious and sincere goal: integrating yoga into the school curriculum across the UK. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Why? Because every child deserves the tools to move with confidence, breathe with ease, and connect with othersโ€”and yoga provides exactly that.

โœ… Improves focus, balance and flexibility
โœ… Supports emotional wellbeing and self-regulation
โœ… Encourages mindfulness, connection, and resilience
โœ… Builds lifelong healthy habits

PYPT is steadfast in its ambition to make this vision a reality. We believe yoga can transform classrooms into calmer, kinder, and more confident spacesโ€”one breath at a time.

๐ŸŒฟ Join us as we work to bring this change to schools across the UK.
