What is your favourite thing about Black Stag Community Fitness?

"Got to be the people! It’s more than just a gym. It’s an incredible community filled with incredible humans."

What is your favourite exercise?

"I do love a wall ball. Simple and effective."

What is your least favourite exercise?

"Easy....... lunges!"

Meet Megan 👋

What is your favourite thing about Black Stag?
My fave thing about Black Stag has to be the people. Whether I am training alongside close friends or those I know more casually, there’s always an interest in how everyone is/how their day’s going. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming with people consistently supporting one another. The coaches are so knowledgeable and genuinely want to help everyone improve while also keeping the environment fun. I also love how varied the programming is, you never get bored.

What is your favourite movement?
I feel like I need to say that my favourite movement is the squat clean after getting a PB on Saturday (just to drop that in there in case anyone has forgotten 🤣). I like the challenge of pushing myself when building to a heavy lift and I find adding it into a complex adds a whole new level of difficulty. I also love a box jump, whether it’s box overs, max height attempts, etc - it takes me back to my volleyball days.

What is your least favourite movement?
I don’t think there’s any movement I really dislike that much but long AMRAPs that involve the assault bike suck. It’s called ass bike for short for a reason.

What is your favourite thing about Black Stag Community Fitness?

"A common answer but the community and environment is what makes Black Stag what it is. The welcoming and friendly nature of the coaches and members makes those difficult workouts that bit easier. You’ll always leave in a better mood than you arrived in!"

What is your favourite exercise and why?

"Any overhead press but will go for Clean & Jerks. The stresses of life disappear when there's a heavy weight above your head."

What is your least favourite exercise and why?

"Dumbbell Clusters. There’s no need for 3 movements in 1."
