Green Field Kerry Hills were established in 2021. We are based 4 miles north west of Glastonbury on the Somerset Levels, BA6.

Owned by a Farm Animal Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for Kerry Hill sheep and their breeding.

A belated update - Lambing 2022 ended back in late April for The Green Field Flock! 🐼 With our first season complete, we are tremendously proud of all our ewes; both first-time and experienced lambers. We have some superb homebred lambs on the ground, provided with ad-lib creep access and regularly weighed 🐑

Our cull ewes were forward at market last week, meeting a very strong trade for all presented 💪🏻

Remember, the worth of these animals is far more than their cull value! Consider what they could be telling you about hidden disease in your flock - There is lots of information to take from barren ewes to maximise health and productivity next season 🐑

The wait is over! ⌛️🐑 Lambing 2022 is underway with a proud Trecelynen ewe giving us our first homebred pedigree Kerry Hill - A smart, strong ewe lamb to join the flock! 🐼

We're taking full advantage of this year's MSD Animal Health FlockCheck diagnostic service, with subsidised sheep blood testing 💉 The scheme allows sheep farmers to blood test their flock for exposure to Toxoplasmosis and Enzootic Abortion (EAE) to enhance flock productivity 🐑
