Birth Stories Project — Art Workshop Invitation.

🌟 If you’re carrying a birth story, your own or one you witnessed, and feel ready to explore it creatively, we’d love to hold space for you.

In early 2026 we’re hosting a series of free art-based workshops supported by the National Lottery Community Fund. Through painting, sewing, collage or words, you’ll express your story and help shape a collective artwork that amplifies women’s voices and strengthens advocacy for better, kinder maternity care.

🙏 Your story can help empower wider change in the birthing sector. These workshops offer a chance to honour your experience and find healing through gentle creative expression. The creative pieces from the workshops will contribute to a Birth Stories exhibition during 2026 raising awareness of birthing choices for birthing people.

📆 Our first workshop is Friday 23 January, 9.30–1pm at the Sacred Birth Centre, Glastonbury. Spaces are limited. The workshop will be facilitated by Sarah Slaughter (Birth Artist) and Samsara Tanner (Doula Mentor).

Babes-in-arms and pre-crawlers are welcome.

🌟 The Sacred Birth Centre is open this Saturday 29th November from 10am - 4pm as it is a very special day with the Glastonbury Frost Fayre event taking place!

🙏 Come along to our festively cosy shop and centre at 90, High Street and browse our beautiful products and check out the preloved goods (all of which can make wonderful gifts for loved ones over the festive period!).

🐻 We also have a very special guest the magical midwinter 'Nanna Bear', our sacred alternative to Santa! She will be at the centre from 11-1pm and children can have their photo taken with her for a small donation. She will also give a Winter Blessing to each child who wishes it and there is the option of a preloved toy or book too! We are so excited to offer this to families and children.

✨ At the back of the centre, together with Nanna Bear we will have a range of pre loved items available (which you can offer donations for). These donations will help us to raise funds for the Sacred Birth Centre - as well as to help families in need to find affordable gifts.

🫶 We really look forward to welcoming you on Saturday!
