🌿 A new report by SAIF and Funeral Solution Expert shows that independent funeral directors offer better value and care than national chains.

While big brands have raised prices, independent firms have lowered theirs, and nearly half of families say they’d choose a local, independent funeral director they know and trust.

At Forsey and Son we’re proud to keep offering fair prices, personal service and local care when it matters most.

It was a real honour to conduct the funeral of Councillor Nick Cottle yesterday. He was a wonderful gentlemen who we had the pleasure of dealing with on a number of occasions. He will be missed in the town of Glastonbury by all those who knew him and also by those who didn't know him but benefitted from his wisdom and diligence on the Town Council.

Our Story

Founded in 1946 by Wilfred Albert Forsey, we remain an independent family-run firm of funeral directors offering a personal, professional and sympathetic service with complete flexibility to accommodate the needs of our clients. Our success has meant that we now cover a wide area of Somerset, providing a 24 hour service.

We are also proud to incorporate Trotman Funeral Directors and Oswald Clarke Funeral Directors into the Forsey and Son name. Trotman Funeral Directors is based in the village of Cranmore and has served the village and surrounding community for the past four generations. Equally, Oswald Clarke Funeral Directors, based in Bruton, was started just one year after Forsey and Son and has served the local community with dignity and professionalism ever since. Membership of the professional organisations regulating funeral directing provides reassurance that we observe strict codes of practice in all aspects of our work. Adrian Forsey, his son Sam Forsey and their colleagues would be pleased to assist you with any matters in complete confidence.
