Our massage therapist Kerri ( The Zen Zone ) was proudly representing us today at the Christmas Market in Street 🎄✨

⚡ MID-PORTION ACHILLES TENDINOPATHY ⚡

🔴 3 weeks ago this Achilles was red, sore, painful to even touch lightly with a finger for 12 months!!

✅ 3 out 6 sessions of shockwave therapy has transformed the condition and hugely reduced how inflamed this Achilles is. Recovery is underway!

🔎 This patient had an ultrasound scan with our clinics podiatrist Simon Sole Function Podiatry & Biomechanics to diagnose the problem.

⚡ Then commenced treatment of 6 sessions of shockwave on top of Lucie's soft tissue work. This included some manual work on the calf muscles which were ropey and full of tension due to the Achilles tendon damage and compensation.

💪🏋️ Accompanied by a personalised rehabilitation plan with exercises specific to his needs this patient is optimising recovery and healing whilst the shockwave treatment repairs on a cellular level.

👍Patient reports a massive improvement already. The area is noticeably less red, less inflamed and can be touched with pressure and most importantly shockwave can now be applied directly on top of the Achilles for maximum surface area.

Half way through treatment and things are looking very promising!

Shockwave therapy accelerates healing over 4-6 weeks but you must still be committed to your Rehabilitation for another 6 weeks for maximum functional outcomes 💪
