Have you supported a young person to move from children’s services to adult’s services in Fife?

We’re working to ensure planning for these moves:

Starts earlier

Is made clearer

Is made less stressful

To help us do that, we’re currently finalising our new protocol and we need the views of family members and carers who have supported their young person to make this move.

Please take a few minutes to complete our survey and share your experiences.

Family/Carer Survey: https://brnw.ch/21x2O23

Survey is open from 25 May to 6 July 2026.

Thank you for helping us to improve our services for young people across Fife!

Thanks to everyone who supported our recent Dementia Awareness Afternoon Tea at Stratheden Hospital.

Muirview and Elmview wards played host to a special afternoon of connection, enjoyment, and live music.

Thank you also to Fife Health Charity for generously funding the buffet, and to Stratheden Kitchens for providing such a fantastic spread that was enjoyed by all.

NHS Fife is one of a number of agencies responding to the fire at Lower Melville Wood, near Ladybank.

While the fire is now under control, some smoke may still be noticeable depending on wind and weather conditions.

If you live nearby, please take care:

🪟 Close windows and doors if you can see or smell smoke
🌳 Limit time outdoors, where possible
➡️ Take care travelling through areas affected by smoke

Smoke can irritate the eyes and throat and may cause coughing. Those with existing respiratory conditions, such as asthma or COPD, may be more affected, please ensure you continue to carry and use your medication, such as inhalers, as prescribed.

If you feel unwell due to smoke exposure, seek advice from your usual healthcare service or call NHS 24 on 111.

There is currently no indication of long-term health risks, and the overall risk to the public remains low.

Colleagues involved in delivering The King’s Trust Get into Health and Social Care programme in Fife Health and Social Care Partnership were honoured to attend the Trust’s 50th Anniversary Garden Party at Buckingham Palace yesterday.

They had the chance to explore the beautiful gardens before enjoying afternoon tea in the Bright Futures Tea Tent, with a selection of sandwiches, scones, and cakes.

At 4pm, the National Anthem marked the arrival of His Majesty King Charles III, who took time to meet and greet guests. The event brought together inspiring individuals and well-known figures from across the UK to celebrate the impact of The King’s Trust over the past 50 years.

Despite a threat of rain, the weather held and the sun shone, making for a memorable and special occasion for all who attended.

Any young person who needs it should text FIFE to 85258 for free to connect with a trained volunteer.

Accessing the service doesn’t show up on mobile bills.

Trained volunteers are available day or night to help children or young people with a range of concerns from stress to anxiety, loneliness or depression.
