Morning, as most of you will be seeing we are being targeted by an anonymous user of Facebook who is literally spamming all pages in the Fife area with posts regarding Saltire Dental Practice, we have reported the matter to the police and are in contact with the page editors trying to stop this. The comments being used are causing concern to our patients which is what we don’t want. If you have any concerns that you need clarification on please contact the practice and we can answer your questions. I would also like to thank the patients and Facebook users who have commented regarding this attack for their support.

Saltire dental practice is not closing down, there has been an issue regarding the registered address this is being dealt with just now with companies house but as their policy they have to initialise this compulsory notice to ensure we meet the regulations. The matter is in hand and all documentation has been sent to Companies house. There is no disruption to our service and the practice is operating as normal. I’m not sure as to why this anonymous post has been made here but we can assure you everything is being dealt with.

Hello,

Just an update as our patients seem to not understand what we are advising them on the telephones. Dr Ioannis Delliopoulos has handed in his notice and will be leaving the business in August 2023.

This has came as a massive blow to the business but we wish him all the best on his new adventure in London. The practice is rescheduling all routine treatments to enable the dentists to complete open treatment plans. To elaborate open treatment plans are treatments that have been agreed with your dentist after your initial exam, we are trying to complete all treatments prior to the dentist leaving which means that the routine treatments ie Exams and scales are being pushed back to free up the diary space.

We will continue to see all our patient for emergency treatments at this point and if you have an emergency then please call the practice at 9am and we will make you an appointment.

In January 2023 the government released a draft of what they were proposing for NHS treatments and it outlined that patients would only see their dentists every two years for exams and that the scale and polish would be changing to a removal of tartar above the gum level with no polishing. There is just such a massive shortage of dentists just now for the whole of the country with NHS Fife loosing 34 dentists in the last 6 months with more to be expected we just cannot see how the Government is going to fix this for everyone.

We are offering our patients an option to join a membership plan via Denplan if they are after 6 monthly appointments but must stress this will be a first come first serve basis and spaces are getting filled quickly

Hello to all our patients, just an update on the appointments situation at the practice. We are having to yet again reschedule routine appointments for adults due to having no appointments available until May 2022.
As you will appreciate this is no good if a patient requires a follow up appointment and can’t get an appointment for four months to continue required treatment.
We are doing everything we can to look after our patients, we have a two hour slot every week day to treat emergencies and feel that as long as you are not having problems then this delay on routine treatments albeit an inconvenience will ensure we can treat the patients that require and appointment just now.
The Practice is offering a membership plan which will provide appointments sooner than May, we are able to do this as you will become a private patient at the practice.
Our dental plans start from £20 per month for essential plan which covers routine appointments 2 exams and two private scales and 10% off all treatments and then we have the £50 per month for a Full care plan which covers all required treatments, except for your lab fees if your require a lab constructed component i.e. Crowns, Bridges, Dentures. You also benefit from having Dental insurance included in the plans.
If you receive a letter, please call the practice to have your appointment rearranged or if you are simply looking to join the practice as a new patient please call us to discuss joining our membership plans.
