Today marks one full year of being 100% self-employed.

Back in 2021, I started a small mobile ear wax removal business alongside my NHS role, working evenings and weekends. I never imagined I’d have the courage to take the leap into self-employment with no safety net — no sick pay, no holiday pay or guaranteed hours or that a simple idea would grow into something that’s given me confidence, freedom financially within my family and socially and best of all a real sense of pride in myself.

After opening my beautiful clinic in October 2024 and hearing a few doubtful comments along the way, I’m so proud I trusted my gut, believed it would work, and stuck with it.

The support from those close to me, and from so many clients who’ve since become friends, has meant more than I can put into words.

Believing in myself has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made and it’s been worth every step, no matter how scary.

The skin inside your ear canal slowly moves outward, carrying earwax, dust, and debris with it — a bit like a natural conveyor belt. Pretty clever, right?

⚠️ But sometimes this process doesn’t work as it should, and wax can build up and become impacted. This can lead to symptoms like hearing loss, discomfort, or even dizziness.

So helping using Olive oil monthly ( remembering not to over use!!) can help this process.
