It's time to make the announcement I hoped I would never have to make 😔 Despite everything I have put into creating Beechwood House Residential Care this past 18 months it has become apparent that we cannot get the required accreditation to be able to open. 😢 We have given this project 100% and transformed this former elderly residential property immensely, but still we cannot get the stamp we need to open this much needed service! Sadly this is one project that we cannot realise at this time, however you know what they say? When one door closes another opens, and I have ideas about what we can do when the time is right. 🙌 I would like to thank everyone who has helped me through this project, offered me advise, applied for jobs and even mopped me up from the floor in a blubbering mess! Yes that has been necessary 🤣 I will be doing what I do best, fluffing my feathers and looking forwards to what else I can do with this amazing property in Glossop! This page will disappear in time, but you might like to hang fire here until I unveil my plans for the future! It may be something you're interested in! 🙌 Thank You for all your support ❤️

Hello everyone! Well it's time to make the announcement I thought I'd never have to make 😔 Despite our best efforts, determination and many many sleepless nights it would seem that we have been unable to gain the required accreditation that we need to be able to open! We have given it 100% and we are very saddened that we cannot make this much needed service a reality. I would just like to thank everyone who has worked on this project with me, all those who applied for jobs, and those that have been there to scoop me up time and time again ❤
BUT you know what they say . . . when one door closes another door opens, so I'll be doing what I do best! Picking myself up from the floor and making something from all that we have achieved this past year. Eventually this page will close down, but please await details upon my next venture that you might choose to follow! Thank You all 😘

Our stairlift has had a service and is ready to rock and roll. Being over two floors this is an absolute lifesaver, it helps our less mobile residents access the upper floors independently 👍

Welcome to Glossop’s New Homely Residence

Hi I’m Wendy and I welcome you to Beechwood House, Derbyshire’s new private residential care home for young adults with acquired brain injuries, mental health needs and learning disabilities. Providing specialist care services, rehabilitation, permanent residential accommodation and respite to young adults.

Set within the tranquil grounds of St Charles Borromeo Church, our home originally built by The Duke of Norfolk in 1862, nestles in the heart of Hadfield, Glossop, a few miles from the beautiful Peak District National Park.

The peaceful settings, development of our staff, and emphasis on an open and evolving care plan, allows for our compassionate care for all residents, as individuals.

Our residents will be at the heart of all that we do, and we encourage them to take control and make their own lifestyle choices, assisting as often and as much as our residents and their families desire. The atmosphere is informal and friendly and our residents’ happiness, sense of belonging and satisfaction is paramount in everything we do.
