We do this by taking a holistic approach to individualised care, we promote independence, empowering the individual to live independently in their own homes. Gloucester Homecare Services are here to help with every aspect of daily living to support you to maintain your life the way you want it and remain independent in your own home. All of our customers are unique with their own individual needs and preferences so we keep you in control and provide you with the care and support that you want. Our service provides many options for our customers from 15 minutes calls to 24hr calls. What we can offer but are not limited to:

Assisting with your start of the day, helping you to get up, washed and dressed and your breakfast of choice. We can also collect or return medications to your pharmacy. Prepare meals with you or for you and assisting you during mealtime. We can shop with you or for you or even just help to create your shopping list. Help or support you to complete your day to day chores, ironing, cleaning or taking out the bins. Support you to attend local events, activities or hobbies and maintain friendships and see family members. Companionship visits, tea and cakes, board games, gardening, crafts, quiz time, baking - you name it! Support at the end of the day to prepare you for a good nights sleep. Overnight care, wake nights or sleep nights as and when required.

‘Celebrating Homecare’ has been launched to celebrate and recognise the amazing work that homecarers provide. Every day of the year, homecare workers support people to live safely and well at home, enabling people to flourish within our communities.

Gloucester Homecare Services employs 13 careworkers, who provide care in the community, providing the opportunity for vulnerable people to remain in their own homes with support. Throughout a difficult period, they have served an important role as key workers, providing vital support to clients living across Gloucester.

Good luck to Beth, our Supervisor, who is starting her Dementia Lead Award with Gloucestershire County Council today.

This qualification will equip Beth with the knowledge and skills to support our staff in developing their broad knowledge in relation to Dementia care, improving the lives of people we care for who are living with Dementia, and their family members.

Beth's qualification will also enable her to challenge negative attitudes and promote best practice in Dementia care as well as supporting clients to receive information, advice and support services.
