aspects of Arthritis, Bronchitis, Headaches, Frozen shoulder and Insomnia!
Often, tuning into and recognizing the thoughts, emotions and attitudes which have contributed to the problem can begin your healing process.
This is 1. Because when you acknowledge what has been suppressed you begin the process of release. And 2. Awareness - equals choice.
Choice gives you an opportunity to reflect on your life, become aware of what does not work and potentially change it.
Healing encompasses every aspect of your being, including your physical health and fitness, emotional wellbeing, mental attitude, energetic welfare, spiritual wisdom and strength.
It is important to recognize that your body (including finer bodies, soul and spirit) is not your enemy; but a messenger which can help you to know yourself more fully.
Here are some ailments and what can potentially cause them.
Arthritis – holding onto anger and resentment from the past. Carrying guilt, remorse and shame. Difficulty in forgiving self and others. Complaining about life; worrying, but not wanting to make changes. Feeling stuck and limited. (Has to start working on inner openness and flexibility!)
Bronchitis – feeling too much pressure. Conflict and anger in the family, which leads to irritation with people close to you. Blaming others for what you can’t fix or control. Needing time out and time to yourself. Feeling a lack of appreciation and love. Pushing people away. (Need to develop healthy boundaries and take time for self!)
Headaches – stress, overwhelm, tiredness, seriousness, too much going on. Feeling out of control. Self criticism, judgment, invalidation, self sabotage. Too much thinking and analysis. Overcrowded, frustrated, undermined. (Need to learn how to be more objective and more grounded!)
Frozen shoulder – suppressing your feelings. Experiencing too much strain, stress and worry. Not dealing with your challenges ‘ numbing’ them. Feeling stuck, trying to control rather than allow. Fear of the future. Wanting to give up. Feeling like a failure. Engulfed by problems. Not knowing how to heal your pain and sadness. Represents frozen tears. (Allow yourself to breathe and feel. Focus on self and let others become responsible for themselves!)
Insomnia – can’t relax, feeling unsafe, unable to let go. Worrying, playing over things in your mind, dissecting situations. Feeling scattered, fearful. (Sleep is vital - how you prepare for sleep depends on how you live your day. Turn off all media, listen to classical music, meditate and learn about what really happens when you sleep.)
When we are working on healing a condition we need to identify the difference between the thoughts, patterns, points of view, actions and emotions.
Let’s take the lungs for example.
A tendency to put self last - is an action. However we have to identify the thoughts which are connected. I.e I’m not good enough. I’m not important. I don’t deserve to have.... (complete this.)
This leads us to a point of view of either a victim or a self saboteur. So when positive things occur, a pattern appears where we always sabotage, punish and take away from ourselves.
Instead of having healthy boundaries and knowing when to say yes or no. We just keep saying yes and draining more and more of our precious life force.
The emotions which are working underneath all this are sadness, anguish, rejection and hurt.
There is so much to discover about your inner being and the wisdom of your body, soul and spirit.
