I teach mindfulness and meditation and this is excellent for stress, depression or anxiety. Mindfulness is about "being present" this means living in the moment. Most of us continually project forward to the future or live in the past with a coulda, shoulda, woulda, attitude. we think we will be happy when we have a better job, a bigger house, a better car, a better partner! or we will be happy when our partner changes! if our mind is always on the future we will suddenly be old! and realise we have spent our whole life waiting to be happy. Projecting our mind in the past often leads to depression about what we should have done or not done... impossible to change. ask yourself this question 10 times a day " what is my feeling about now" or ten times a days make a conscious effort to realise what you are thinking about.
