We are delighted and proud to announce that our Fitness Instructor Adrian has been awarded the Specialist Exercise Instructor Qualification from the British Association for Cardiovascular Prevention & Rehabilitation (BACPR). ​

Following on from months of dedicated hard work and study, Adrian is now a fully certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise Specialist - meaning he can offer expert advice and devise specialist fitness / exercise programs to those who with cardiovascular issues. ​
Congratulations, Adrian. A fantastic achievement!!

A big well done to Laura and Rachael from our village wellbeing team on last week's event for World Sleep Day 2026. A total of £109.98 was donated to 'The Sleep Charity' as a result.

Residents, staff and visitors enjoyed a raffle which included sleep packages (Focused on Sleep well, Live better), opportunity to have open conversations about the importance of sleep and hints and tips to improve sleep quality. Residents especially found it very amusing seeing staff in their PJs!

We are thrilled to confirm that bookings are now open for St. Oswald's Village St. Patrick's Party & Show 2026.

This special event will feature the long-anticipated return of multi-instrumentalist and village favourite Keith Slater plus TV personality Christopher Gee - who will perform their highly acclaimed Irish show.

Plus, tickets include a 2-course pre-show Irish inspired meal. Tickets can be booked in person via our reception desk or over the phone between the times of 9am and 5pm, Monday-Friday. Please ask about menu options when booking.

On Saturday morning, young singers from the Gloucester Cathedral Junior Choir teamed up with our very own resident Prayer & Share Group to lead a joyful service for Candlemas, celebrating the sharing of light across generations.

It was the culmination of a series of intergenerational sessions organised by the Assistant Conductor at Gloucester Cathedral, Nia Llewelyn Jones, where children and residents joined together to make music and shape the service with one another.

Along the way, new friendships were formed and the experience brought joy to all involved.

A big thank you to Nia and to our very own Rachael Veitch for working so hard to bring this heartwarming intergenerational service to life.

We look forward to more intergenerational collaborations with the Cathedral in the near future...
