In this video, Alex demonstrates one of our favourite strengthening exercises: the banded lateral walk. All you need is a resistance band and a little space. Try completing 3 sets of 10โ€“15 steps in each direction to activate and strengthen your glutes.

Meet David - our clinical director.

David has numerous additional qualifications in the management of sports injuries and vast experience in both injury management and prevention across a huge range of sports, from rowing, to football, to ballet and beyond!

In his spare time, David loves nothing more than being out in the great outdoors and can often be found on the hills around Gloucestershire, or scaling a mountain further afield!

David is currently on sabbatical, but it won't be too long until he's back in clinic.

Letโ€™s Talk About TMJ Dysfunction (Jaw Pain)

The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is what connects your jawbone to your skull, allowing you to talk, chew, and yawn. When this joint isnโ€™t working properly, it can cause:

๐Ÿ”น Jaw pain or stiffness
๐Ÿ”น Clicking or popping sounds when opening the mouth
๐Ÿ”น Headaches or facial pain
๐Ÿ”น Difficulty chewing or opening the mouth fully
๐Ÿ”น Neck and shoulder tension

Common causes of jaw pain include grinding your teeth (also known as Bruxism), jaw clenching or an impact to the jaw.
