Julie Shearman founded Liberations after seeking support from a Life Coach and complementary therapist to be able to work through some complex life challenges affecting her ability to feel aligned and balanced in the life she was leading. Julie has experienced the changes that these modalities can bring to your life and describes her connection to mindful Meditation as a catalyst for braving decisions that kept her stuck for many years. Julie's passion is sharing these life skills with our children, teens and adults alike. What time is a better time than now….to take a moment to relax, spend time focussing on yourself and your needs. Prioritise self-care to help yourself so you can be there others too.

Pause, connect and take a breath …..

Use your own words as you inhale and exhale
Words that resonate for you

Try allowing the out breath to leave your body gently and slowly.

I was recently working with someone who struggles to connect to their breath due to anxiety and the way it makes them feel. We discovered a VERY SLOW GENTLE breath helped alleviate discomfort and the feeling of lack of breath.

Everything can be adjusted to suit what effect it has on us as individuals. The key is to be aware.

This awareness was immensely impactful for my client.

This mindful activity is one of my favourites.

Gratitude can feel like a pressure or the last thing that is possible sometimes but the good news is we don’t need to feel grateful to be grateful. It is a practice that we can choose to engage with even when life is hard and MESSY. It can sit along side those messy feelings.

For you to feel the benefits you simply need to be authentically yourself.

When we choose to practice gratitude, even during the dark times, it can support us and help us cope with these feelings.

I am always amazed when I do this activity with clients how the activity can be enlightening, reflective and influence mood and I love to see how it lights up my clients eyes (and hearts)

So why not give it a go ….. without expectation of an outcome or pressure …..just be you

🌼 Sit quietly and allow yourself some time for you.
🌼 Take a moment to pause and connect to you, how you are feeling in this moment.
🌼 Notice your breath from the start of its inhale on the tip of your nose and follow it through to the exhale upon your lips.
🌼 Take your time and name something you are grateful for each letter of the alphabet. Be authentic to you - it’s your list, there is no right or wrong answers. Just see what pops up for you. A place, a person, a pet, an object….it can be as simple as a chirping bird, a soft pillow or a cup of tea. It’s surprising what comes to mind when we give ourselves time to reflect.
🌼 you can write this down, if that feels right for you, and when things are tough it can act as a reminder to notice the light even through the challenging times.
🌼 if a family member or friend was on your list of people you are grateful for - reach out and let them know you appreciate them and notice how it feels when you do this.

Gratitude allows us to shine a light on the positive things in our world even when times are tough. The more we say thank you the more we notice the things we are thankful for.

Be gentle with yourselves.

I am a qualified children/ teens Mindful Meditation tutor , a Life Coach, Reflexologist, Reiki and EFT Practitioner.

I support adults, children, teens, students, families, parents, carers and young adults starting out on their independents lives.

I work with students and pupils wanting to find ways to balance their mental health from primary school to University.

I also support professionals wanting to balance work and family life.

I have specialist training in supporting neurodiversity with tailored sessions incorporating both mindfulness/ meditation, life coaching, therapeutic mentoring and complementary therapies to suit the individual.

🏳️‍🌈 We all went to Cheltenham Pride Saturday and had a fabulous time.🏳️‍⚧️
( but the cat stayed home 🥲)

It was a place of total acceptance - such a beautiful space to be. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

I will always remember the moment when my 80 year old mum joined the pride march to stand with her grandson and friends. The strength of allies and acceptance in action.

Alas… I think our cat Noo was feeling left out - this was how she greeted me this morning ……the bracelet definitely fits !! ….

Reflexology without extra cost ….

Many of my clients have taken advantage of booking reflexology through their health care providers and cash plan providers that some employers offer their employees.

If you are fortunate enough to work for an employer that offers such wellbeing packages - give them a call - you could missing out on booking some sessions at no extra cost to you.

It’s great to see so many employers expanding their well-being support but sometimes we forget to take advantage of what’s on offer.

I have clients who manage to have a treatment each month or fortnightly for themselves and for the children too, depending upon their package. Ask what cover you have and maybe you can access this way to boost your well-being, find a safe place to relax and destress.

They usually require my registration details and qualifications - and ask for an AOR qualified reflexologists, which I have been since 2009. This is all detailed on the receipt I will provide you with in order to claim back the costs.

All you have to do is book a session and sit back and relax.

Just a few of the reasons my clients come for reflexology.

I have been a fully qualified and practising reflexologists since 2009 ( an age !!)
I have continued to learn new modalities ( meditation, reiki, life coaching and EFT) which I also offer and believe this helps me to offer you a treatment with the added value of these skills and experience.

I work with children, teens and adults. I attend settings such as assisted living homes and schools but also have a clinic which you can come to and fully relax.
