🎶 What a week it’s been – and it’s not over yet! 🎶

Our busy week continued in the best way possible with a fantastic visit from the wonderful David, who came back to treat us all to some timeless classics. His voice filled the room, and before long, toes were tapping, hands were clapping, and a few residents even closed their eyes just to soak it all in. 💃🕺

Our lovely Rose was David’s number one fan — cheering him on from start to finish! He even passed her the mic at one point (go on, Rose! 😄), but she was a little too shy to join in this time. Maybe next visit!

The afternoon got even more special when David led a heartfelt sing-along of Happy Birthday for our dear Dot, who celebrated her special day with the biggest smile. 🎂🎉 Thank you, David — that moment truly meant so much to all of us.

And just when we thought the fun was over… out came the balloons! 🎈 Yes, it was time for one of our all-time favourites — balloon tennis! The energy in the room was electric — laughter, cheering, and a bit of friendly competition (we take our balloon tennis very seriously around here! 😉).

By the end of it, we were all a little out of breath, with rosy cheeks and happy hearts. What a workout — and what a day! ❤️

🎉 What a day we've had! 🎉

Our Tuesday was packed full of fun from start to finish! We kicked off the morning with our weekly exercise session with Matt — and as always, there were more giggles than lunges! 😂 The bean bags got a real workout… even if we didn’t!

In the afternoon, we got crafty and creative! 🎨✨ Everyone picked their favourite beads and decided whether to make a bracelet, necklace… or both! (We see you, Joyce, overachiever of the day 👏😉). It’s always lovely to see the residents design their own beautiful jewellery — something special they can wear with pride or gift to someone they love. 💖

And because we never stop the fun… we finished the day with a speed round of Bingo! Of course, the staff couldn’t resist joining in — rumour has it they heard there was CHOCOLATE up for grabs! 🍫👀

…And yes, all of that was just Tuesday! Can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings! 😄🙌

🎉 What a Wonderful Week at the House! 🎉

We were absolutely delighted to welcome a lovely group of students from Ribston High School for a visit, and let us tell you… it was AMAZING! 🙌💛

This is just the beginning—these visits will be happening every week, and we’re so excited to continue building a warm and meaningful relationship between the students and our residents.

From the very first moment, we could see the magic happen✨
The residents’ faces lit up as the students spent time chatting, laughing, and sharing stories with them. It was heartwarming to watch friendships begin to form!

We played games 🎲, worked on puzzles 🧩, and enjoyed some good old-fashioned conversation ☕🛋️. Sometimes the simplest moments create the biggest smiles—and this visit did just that.

It may seem like a small thing, but trust us… these visits make a HUGE difference. They bring joy, energy, and a spark of fun into our home, and we can’t wait to see the students again this week! 💫

A massive thank you to the wonderful students at Ribston High School—you truly made our day, and we’re so excited for many more memories together! 🤗💐

🌧️ Yesterday’s gloomy weather had us all feeling like staying in bed with a blanket and a cuppa—dark and dreary days really do steal our motivation! But today we embraced the cozy vibes and powered through with another Autumn-themed Arts & Crafts session 🍂🎨

This time we went all out and made wreaths using tissue paper leaves and little pumpkins—who knew tissue paper could look so festive?! We even coloured and cut out extra leaves to stick on for some extra flair. ✂️🍁

We only had a couple of residents join in today, but honestly… that just meant more laughs, more glue everywhere, and more creativity per person! 😂✨ Quality over quantity, right?

Our crafty masterpieces are now proudly joining the rest of our autumn décor—slowly turning our place into a Autumn paradise! 🎃🍂

Even on a quiet day, we still find a way to make it fun. ❤️

🎉💃 It’s FRIDAY, and you know what that means… the one and only Sue is back for music, movement, and maximum fun! 🎶🙌

We cranked up all the golden oldies, shook our pom poms, jingled those bells like rockstars, and turned the room into our very own dance floor!✨

As always, the fabulous Rose stole the spotlight—twirling, grooving, and strutting her stuff like she’s on Strictly Come Dancing! She even made her way around the room picking up dance partners like a pro. 💃🕺

Sue is an absolute ray of sunshine and we LOVE her visits. She makes sure everyone joins in, has a giggle, and gets their boogie on—no one is left sitting still! 😊🎵

We might be a little worn out by the end (okay… totally exhausted 😅), but every smile and every shimmy is worth it!

Thank you, Sue—you bring the energy, and we bring the moves! See you in 2 weeks for round two! 💛👏

Busy, buzzing, and beautiful! 💇‍♀️💪
What a day yesterday with Matt and Lisa the hairdresser! Matt got us moving with his squishy balls (for some gentle exercise 😉) and calming stretches — the perfect start to the day.

Meanwhile, the other end of the house was a flurry of snips, trims, and total transformations! ✂️ Some residents went for just a tidy-up, while others went bold with a brand-new look. Everyone was feeling pampered — a few even drifted off mid-haircut (can you blame them?).

The gents didn’t miss out either, getting fresh trims and tidy brows. Everyone left looking and feeling amazing. Huge thanks to Matt and Lisa for the good vibes and great looks! 🌟💖

🍁🎨 We’re back at it again — Autumn Arts & Crafts style! 🎨🍁

This week, our creative bunch rolled up their sleeves to make our very own autumn bunting! ✂️🍂 The staff couldn’t resist catching the autumnal crafting bug too — everyone got stuck in with lots of laughter, cups of tea, and a sprinkle of glitter (of course!).

Even though we only had a couple of residents joining in today, that didn’t stop the fun one bit! Together we created a beautifully colourful bunting to add to our growing collection of autumn projects. Now our fireplace in reception is looking absolutely stunning — cosy, warm, and full of seasonal cheer! 🍂🔥✨

Keep your eyes peeled for next week’s creative session… we’ve got even more autumn-inspired art on the way! 👀🎃

🍁 Autumn Creativity in Full Swing! 🍂

We’re continuing our autumnal arts and crafts adventures, and this week was all about celebrating the beauty of nature right on our doorstep! Using gorgeous fallen leaves gathered from Robinswood Hill, we got crafty creating leafy wreaths and picture frames bursting with rich autumn colours. 🍃✨

The results? Absolutely stunning – and so much fun to make! Everyone got involved, laughing and comparing their creations (and yes, even a tiny stowaway spider joined in the fun 🕷️ — safely escorted back outdoors, of course!).

It was a fantastic session enjoyed by all, and we’re already brimming with ideas for our next crafty creation. Who knows what we’ll dream up next? 👀

🎯✨ Boccia is BACK with Darren! ✨🎯

This week we had an amazing time welcoming Darren back for our monthly Boccia session – and wow, what a game it was! 🙌 Residents were on top form, showing off their skills, and for the first time staff jumped in too. Let’s just say… things got very competitive! 😅💪

The match was neck and neck right to the end, but after some brilliant throws and lots of cheering from the sidelines, the Blues took the win 🏆💙 It was such a tense but fun atmosphere – you could feel the excitement in the room! 🎉👏

Everyone who joined in had a blast, with plenty of laughs, smiles, and maybe even a little bit of friendly rivalry 😉💥.

We can’t wait to do it all again next month when Darren’s back – bring on round two! 🥳🥎

🙌 Matt was back with us this week – and so were the squishy balls! 🎾💥 We were rolling, pushing, pulling, and of course… throwing them around (sometimes at the wrong target 😅). Poor Matt caught one when he least expected it – good thing his reflexes are top notch! 🏃‍♂️💨

We always look forward to Matt’s visits – it’s not just great exercise, it’s always a good laugh too. Thanks for keeping us moving and smiling, Matt! 💛
