Yesterday we were saddened to hear the news that GCPA’s Riki Moody has passed away.

The world has lost an amazing soul, and the care sector has lost a true inspiration.

Riki supported so many people, lifted spirits wherever he went, and was always a bloody good laugh.

Everyone at Lean On Me Care Services sends our deepest condolences to Riki’s family, friends, and all at GCPA. We know this loss will be deeply felt by so many.

Our Jose — our morning routines are not the same without you and your smile. You had a personality that lit up the whole room. We miss you dearly: your laugh, your kindness, and the way you always told it exactly as it was.

You are missed so deeply by us all. The whole team sends our love and heartfelt condolences to Kay and the entire family. ❤️

💛🌟 Carers of the Month – February 🌟💛

A huge congratulations to our Carers of the Month for February – Claire T and Michelle 👏

This recognition is based on the number of hours they individually delivered across the month. Both Claire and Michelle consistently worked 50+ hours per week to meet the needs of the business.

Not once did they complain, and at all times they continued to provide our gold standard of care to every client they supported. Their dedication, reliability and professionalism during a demanding period have truly stood out.

We are incredibly proud to have you both on the Lean On Me team.

🐾💛 Paws, Smiles & Special Visits 💛🐾

Today we had the pleasure of visiting one of our wonderful clients with some very special furry friends 🐶

As you can see, there were plenty of wagging tails and happy smiles all round! Animal visits bring so much joy, companionship and stimulation — and moments like these truly brighten everyone’s day.

At Lean On Me Care Services, we know that meaningful care is about more than just support with daily tasks. It’s about creating experiences, encouraging connection, and making memories that matter.

Because sometimes the best therapy has four legs and a wagging tail. 🐾

🐦💛 Meet Charlie 💛🐦

After recently saying goodbye to our much-loved little bird, we’re pleased to introduce the newest member of our extended Lean On Me family… Charlie.

Charlie has joined us to provide companionship, comfort and a few cheerful chirps along the way for our client. 🥰

We know how important routine, connection and the little daily joys are to the people we support. Welcoming Charlie into the home is about more than just a pet — it’s about wellbeing, companionship and continuing to put our clients’ wishes at the heart of what we do.

This is care in the community with a difference. 💛

💛🖤 The Lean On Me Legacy 💛🖤

The reason we are here today started with one gentleman — our very first client.

He needed a care package that didn’t fit into boxes or tick lists. He was a hoarder. A recluse. A man who had quietly disconnected from the world around him. But from the very first day we met him, he stole our hearts.

He reminded me that domiciliary care isn’t always about routines and rotas. Sometimes it’s about patience. Sometimes it’s about understanding. And sometimes it’s simply about showing up differently.

Our legacy is simple:
To find the people in our community who require a different type of care.
The ones who don’t quite “fit”.
The ones who have lost their way.
The ones others may overlook.

Today was a reminder of why we do this.

We met another client who feels a little lost right now. And if the only thing I got from that visit was fish and chips — then fish and chips it was. I went back later, just to keep my word.

Because that’s what this legacy is built on.
Keeping our word.
Honouring our promise.
Doing things differently.

From family, friends, and professionals — to even the critics watching from the sidelines — you are seeing this legacy unfold.

And no matter what,
we stand tall.

Even if it’s just with a bag of fish and chips in our hand. 💛

🐦💐 A Little Goodbye, With a Lot of Love 💐🐦

Around 6 months ago, we purchased a little bird for one of our wonderful clients. Sadly, our feathered friend has since passed away.

As requested by our client, we held a small funeral, buried our mate with care, and placed a cross to mark his resting place and memory. 🕊️✝️

Because care isn’t just about tasks… it’s about heart, connection, and supporting what truly matters to the people we look after.

This is care in the community… with a difference 💛
