At Redlands Acre Care Home, we are proud to offer a warm, welcoming and homely environment where comfort, dignity and personalised care come first. Set in a beautifully converted Victorian home close to the historic centre of Gloucester, Redlands Acre combines charming original features with thoughtful facilities designed to help residents feel truly at home.

With 26 bedrooms, including en-suite provision in most rooms, as well as 8 luxury care suites, our home offers a range of comfortable living options. Residents can enjoy cosy lounges, a dining room, breakfast room, conservatory, hair salon, and attractive gardens with outdoor seating areas.

Our dedicated team is committed to providing compassionate, person-centred care 24 hours a day. Whether someone is looking for permanent care, respite care or support following illness or an operation, we take time to create tailored care plans that reflect each individual’s needs, personality and lifestyle.

Life at Redlands Acre is about much more than care. From activities, entertainment and outings to friendship, laughter and community, we work hard to make every day enjoyable and meaningful for the people who live with us.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Redlands Acre...

Mother’s Day is always a very special day in the calendar.

Today, we take time to celebrate and remember all the wonderful mums in our lives — those who are sadly no longer with us, those whose families may live far away, and those who are lucky enough to be welcoming loved ones through the door today.

🏇✨ Gold Cup Day Excitement at Redlands Acre!

With Cheltenham right on our doorstep, we’re definitely feeling the buzz here at Redlands Acre as it’s Gold Cup day today!

Our residents will be getting comfy to watch the big race, sharing memories of Cheltenham festivals past, and of course making a few friendly guesses on who might take the trophy. It’s all in good fun — plenty of smiles, laughter, and a little bit of “I told you so!” before the winner crosses the line! 🏆🐎

🥞 Happy Shrove Tuesday from Redlands Acre...

It’s Pancake Day and we’ll be celebrating across our Cedar Trust homes with plenty of smiles, pancake tossing (wish us luck! 😄), and the all-important debate… what’s the best topping?

Our residents will be enjoying fresh pancakes, a fun bit of flipping, and choosing their favourites — sweet, fruity, or maybe something a little different!

Topping ideas we love:
🍋 Lemon & sugar (a classic!)
🍓 Fresh berries & cream
🍫 Chocolate spread & banana
🍎 Cinnamon apples
🍯 Honey or golden syrup
🍦 Ice cream (because why not?)

Some days stay with you for all the right reasons — and our Valentine’s celebrations at Redlands Acre were exactly that. ❤️

With handmade hearts, beautiful decorations throughout the home, and plenty of sweet treats to share, the day felt truly warm and full of love. It wasn’t just about Valentine’s Day… it was about connection, kindness, and those little moments that make a house feel like home.

Today’s Tuesday thought: Love doesn’t have to be loud — it lives in the small things. A smile across the room, a shared laugh, a thoughtful gesture, a cup of tea with a friend.

We’re so grateful for the heartwarming atmosphere our residents and team create every day. 💕

Rainy February days don’t stop the fun at Redlands Acre ☔️✨

With the weather keeping us cosy indoors, our lounge has been full of laughter as residents and staff teamed up to make party crackers and then enjoyed a lively game of charades!

From creative cracker designs to plenty of guessing (and giggling), it’s been a brilliant way to spend the afternoon together.

We love activities like this because they bring so many benefits — connection, conversation, confidence, and lots of smiles — and it’s always a pleasure to see everyone getting involved.

We were truly touched this week to receive this beautiful bunch of flowers from a family member, as a thank you to our team at Redlands Acre. 💐

We never do what we do for gifts or recognition — we care for our residents because it’s what we’re here to do, and we’re proud of that. However, gestures like this are incredibly warming, and it means so much when families take the time to acknowledge the dedication, compassion and hard work shown every day.

🎶 Go, Go, Greased Lightning' ...

It was party time at Redlands Acre Care Home as we turned back the clock to the 1950s for our Grease-themed celebration!

The home was buzzing with excitement as residents and team members dressed up as the T-Birds and Pink Ladies, donning leather jackets, pink boas, and heart-shaped shades — ready to rock around the clock! 🎸✨

From dancing and singing along to all the classic hits, to plenty of laughter and photo-worthy moments, the atmosphere was electric. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, laughter, and a few impressive dance moves filling the room!

These special themed days bring back such great memories and create new ones too — proof that fun and friendship never go out of style. 💖

Thank you to our amazing team for making the day so memorable and to our lovely residents for throwing themselves into the spirit — we think you all look absolutely fabulous!

🎆 Bonfire Night Fun at Redlands Acre...

We had a wonderful time celebrating Bonfire Night last week! 💥

It was lovely watching the local fireworks light up the sky with all their sparks and bangs, but the real highlight of the evening was our very own bubble machine 🫧

It filled the room with a flurry of bubbles and plenty of laughter — bringing back so many happy childhood memories for everyone. ❤️

A big thank you to our team for creating such a joyful and safe celebration for all!
