🎶 Go, Go, Greased Lightning' ...

It was party time at Redlands Acre Care Home as we turned back the clock to the 1950s for our Grease-themed celebration!

The home was buzzing with excitement as residents and team members dressed up as the T-Birds and Pink Ladies, donning leather jackets, pink boas, and heart-shaped shades — ready to rock around the clock! 🎸✨

From dancing and singing along to all the classic hits, to plenty of laughter and photo-worthy moments, the atmosphere was electric. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, laughter, and a few impressive dance moves filling the room!

These special themed days bring back such great memories and create new ones too — proof that fun and friendship never go out of style. 💖

Thank you to our amazing team for making the day so memorable and to our lovely residents for throwing themselves into the spirit — we think you all look absolutely fabulous!

🎆 Bonfire Night Fun at Redlands Acre...

We had a wonderful time celebrating Bonfire Night last week! 💥

It was lovely watching the local fireworks light up the sky with all their sparks and bangs, but the real highlight of the evening was our very own bubble machine 🫧

It filled the room with a flurry of bubbles and plenty of laughter — bringing back so many happy childhood memories for everyone. ❤️

A big thank you to our team for creating such a joyful and safe celebration for all!

🎵 Music & Movement at Redlands Acre...

This week our lounge was full of smiles, singing and gentle exercise as residents (and staff) enjoyed a Music & Movement session. With familiar tunes and simple, seated routines, everyone joined in at their own pace—clapping, stretching, tapping toes and keeping time with props.

🎃 Halloween at Redlands...

What a spook-tacular day! Our lounge was filled with laughter, costumes and plenty of tasty treats.

Residents enjoyed a Halloween tea with warming soup, sandwiches and web-topped fairy cakes, while our team got into the spirit with some fang-tastic outfits that raised lots of smiles.

Thank you to everyone who joined in and made it a wonderful event.

🎃 Halloween Prep at Redlands...

We’ve been busy carving pumpkins, sipping tea and decorating the home—getting everything ready for the big day this Friday. Our residents loved designing their own pumpkins, from cute stars to classic Jack-o’-lantern smiles, and the lounge is looking wonderfully autumnal!

A big thank you to our team for making it a fun, creative afternoon. We can’t wait to share more Halloween moments soon. 👻

It’s beginning to look a lot like… Halloween! 🕷️🕯️

Our residents have been busy witching up some creative magic this week — crafting all things spooky, sparkly, and full of Halloween spirit! From pumpkins to ghosts, every decoration is fang-tastically made with care and imagination.

🌸🌿 Indoor Gardening at Redlands Acre...

Recently, our residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of indoor gardening, creating their very own beautiful table arrangements to brighten up our home. 🌼

It was a relaxing and creative activity that everyone thoroughly enjoyed — The finished arrangements look absolutely stunning and have brought a lovely splash of colour to our communal areas. 💐

💪🎈 Staying Active with G-Fitness!

At Redlands Acre, we were delighted to welcome G-Fitness back for an energetic and laughter-filled activity session!

Our residents took part in a range of fun exercises — from (our favourite) parachute games to seated weight lifting — all designed to promote movement, strength, and wellbeing.

It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, supporting one another, and most of all, having a great time together. A big thank you to G-Fitness for bringing so much energy and joy into our home!

🎯✨ Fun, Movement & Lots of Laughs at Redlands Acre! ✨🎯

Our residents have been showing off their skills recently with a fantastic movement game inspired by a carnival favourite — getting the ball into coloured holes for points! 🏆⚪🔴🔵

Not only is this game brilliant fun (and brings out a little friendly competition 😉), but it’s also a wonderful way to keep moving, support balance, and help with fall prevention. Most importantly though, it’s been filled with plenty of smiles, laughter, and healthy fun all round.

Well done to everyone who took part — we’ve definitely discovered some hidden champions here at Redlands Acre! 👏🌟

🎯 Fun and Fitness...

This week our residents enjoyed a simple but brilliant game – throwing hoops over cones! 🏐✨

Not only did it bring plenty of laughs and friendly competition, but it’s also a fantastic way to support mobility, coordination, and focus. Activities like these are a wonderful way to combine gentle exercise with social interaction, helping to keep both body and mind active.

The smiles and laughter were proof that sometimes it’s the simplest games that bring the most joy.
