The Fluff Appeal

The Fluff Appeal Helping with all the extra "Fluff" to make treatment easier. Although we are not yet a registered charity, we are currently looking into how to become one.

Founded in November 2010 after my Mum had a bone marrow transplant at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, I intend to raise money in order to help with all the extra services that are provided by the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit that are not paid for by the NHS.

We would like to think that our aims will benefit a range of people throughout the community who are treated within the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at BRHC as monies raised will go towards helping people here.

Address

The Fluff Appeal, 95 Lanham Gardens
Gloucester
GL2 4DE

General information

Although monies raised will be given to this specific ward, there will be occasions where people who need life saving treatment will not be funded by the NHS, when this occurs we will try to raise money to go towards paying for this specific treatment. Currently Heather Bradbury is waiting to find out if the NHS will fund a second Bone Marrow Transplant due to the first being unsuccessful. If the NHS is unable to fund the treatment, current fundraising efforts will go towards the £90,000 required for her to have the treatment.
