🎯 Fun, Laughter & a Bit of Healthy Competition at Parton House!

We’ve been getting active here at Parton House with a classic favourite — “hoop the cone” — bringing back fond funfair memories and a whole lot of laughter!

While it might look easy, it certainly got everyone concentrating… and smiling! 😊

It was a brilliant session that combined gentle activity, coordination, and good old-fashioned fun — perfect for keeping minds and bodies moving, all while enjoying each other’s company.

🍫 Baking Fun for World Chocolate Day at Parton House!....

Our residents rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into some chocolate chip cake baking to mark World Chocolate Day — and what a treat it was!

From mixing to tasting, everyone had a brilliant time — and by the end, there wasn’t a crumb left in sight… a sure sign of a very popular bake! 😄

It's always a joy to see our residents getting involved in hands-on activities that spark smiles, laughter, and a little bit of sweetness.

☀️🍔 BBQ Time at Parton House!...

With the sunshine making a welcome appearance, we couldn’t resist firing up the grill for a lovely outdoor BBQ lunch here at Parton House Care Home!

Staff and residents came together to enjoy delicious food, great company, and the simple joy of spending time outside in the fresh air. 🌭🍉

The atmosphere was full of laughter and smiles – and our residents absolutely loved the occasion. So much so, we’re already planning the next one!

Thank you to our amazing team for making it a memorable afternoon for everyone.

🏋️‍♀️ Movement & Motivation at Parton House!....

We recently welcomed G-Fitness to Parton House, and what a fantastic way it was to start the week!

Our residents took part in a brilliant chair-based exercise session, designed to support mobility, strength, and fall prevention – all from the comfort of their seats. The session was full of energy, smiles, and gentle movement, tailored to everyone’s ability.

Keeping active is such an important part of wellbeing, and we’re proud to offer engaging, safe, and enjoyable ways for our residents to stay moving.

☀️ Heatwave Care at Parton House Care Home....

As temperatures climb this week, we’re taking extra care at Parton House Care Home in Churchdown to keep our residents cool, hydrated, and comfortable.

Warm weather can be especially challenging for older adults, so here’s how we’re making sure everyone stays safe and well during the heat:

💧 Plenty of Hydration – We’re offering drinks throughout the day, including water, squash, and cool treats like fruit and ice lollies.
🌿 Shaded Outdoor Areas – Residents can enjoy time outside in the fresh air while staying out of direct sun.
👕 Cool, Comfortable Clothing – Light, breathable fabrics and wide-brim hats help beat the heat.
🪭 Well-Ventilated Spaces – We’re keeping rooms cool with fans, open windows, and curtains drawn during peak sun hours.
🧴 Sun Protection – Sunscreen and minimal outdoor activity during the hottest times (11am–3pm) help keep skin protected.
💙 Supportive Care – Our team is regularly checking in with each resident, encouraging rest and comfort throughout the day.

We’re committed to making sure everyone at Parton House enjoys the summer safely.

🍫🎂 Chocolate, Chats & a Bit of Friendly Competition! 🏆

At Parton House Care Home, we know how to combine fun, flavour, and a little friendly rivalry! This week, our residents rolled up their sleeves to bake some delicious chocolate cakes — and they didn’t just look amazing, the smell filled the home with pure joy! 🍰

But the fun didn’t stop there… We like to do things a little differently at Parton House, and that includes a good old-fashioned game of skittles right here in the home! It was a lively and competitive match, followed by plenty of laughter and a friendly chat to round off the day. 🎳
