The home has its own extensive grounds and is surrounded by community allotments and playing fields, giving it a quiet, rural feel.

With the sunshine making more of an appearance, some of our lovely ladies at Parton House Care Home have been enjoying gentle strolls and some peaceful time outside. ☀️

We’re lucky to have two large gardens here at Parton House, as well as lovely surroundings locally, so when the weather is bright, we always try to make the most of it.

Spending time outdoors, enjoying the fresh air and soaking up a little sunshine is a simple pleasure that can bring so much joy, and it’s been wonderful to see our residents out and about enjoying it.

St Patrick’s Day fun is well underway at Parton House. ☘️

Our residents have been enjoying an aptly themed wordsearch to kick off the celebrations, with plenty of smiles, treats and fun happening throughout the day.

Gold Cup Day 🏇

We enjoyed all the excitement of The Gold Cup here at Parton House, with residents watching the races and soaking up the atmosphere from around the home.

We are very fortunate to have our own cinema, which made the perfect space to sit back, relax, and enjoy the action on the big screen. It was lovely to see residents taking in the races together and making the most of such a local sporting occasion.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Parton House...

Mother’s Day is always a very special day in the calendar.

Today, we take time to celebrate and remember all the wonderful mums in our lives — those who are sadly no longer with us, those whose families may live far away, and those who are lucky enough to be welcoming loved ones through the door today.

Gold Cup Day at Parton House! 🏇✨

We’ve been getting into the race day spirit here at Parton House, with our residents enjoying a creative afternoon designing their very own jockey silks.

There were lots of smiles, plenty of colour, and a great sense of fun as everyone added their own unique designs and got involved in the excitement of the day.

It’s been wonderful to see our residents enjoying the atmosphere and sharing in the fun of Gold Cup Day.

🥚🎯 Egg-cellent Aim at Parton House!

Things got extra competitive at Parton recently as our residents took on a brilliant game of skill, patience (and a little bit of cheeky rivalry!) — landing the ball into the egg tray game!

There were plenty of laughs, a few “near-yolks,” and some cracking concentration as everyone tried to beat their best score. Activities like this are a fantastic way to support hand-eye coordination, focus, and confidence — all while having a great time together.

We’ve definitely got some egg-stra talented players in our home! 🏆🐣

🧠🎯 Simple activity… But lots of concentrations required..

This week our residents put their steady hands, patience and concentration to the test with a simple but fun challenge… stacking cups and plates to build the tallest tower! 🥤

It might look simple, but it takes real skill — careful planning, coordination and lots of focus — and of course, plenty of laughter when the tower wobbled!

What a gorgeous moment captured here at Parton House...

With the sun making a welcome appearance, our residents have been enjoying gentle strolls (and wheelchair-friendly wanderings) around our beautiful grounds — taking time to admire the bright daffodils and the first buds of spring beginning to appear.

Even on the slightly chilly days, a little fresh air and natural light can do wonders for wellbeing — lifting spirits, encouraging conversation, and bringing back lovely memories of springs gone by 💛🌿

Here’s to more sunshine-filled afternoons and plenty more signs of spring to enjoy! 🌷✨

🐾🌿 National Wildlife Day at the home!

Today our residents embraced the great outdoors with gentle strolls around the grounds, keeping eyes peeled for signs of wildlife — from birdsong in the trees 🐦 to fluttering wings and springtime sights 🦋🌼 (even if it’s still a little nippy, the fresh air is always worth it!).

Back indoors, the wildlife theme continued with plenty of brain-boosting fun: wildlife wordsearches, a wildlife quiz, and even a “match the sequence” challenge to get everyone thinking and laughing together 🧩✅

A lovely day of movement, memories, and appreciation for the nature right on our doorstep. 💚

What a lovely session at Parton House Care Home!

This week we’ve been using our Life History Ball to help us get to know our residents even more. With every gentle throw and catch comes a new question – and with it, a shared story, a smile, and plenty of laughter along the way. 🥰

It’s such a simple activity, but it creates meaningful 1-to-1 time, encourages conversation and reminiscence, and helps residents feel truly seen and heard. From favourite memories to little everyday joys, it’s been a wonderful way to connect.

🍰 Cake Sale Today....

We’ve been busy in the kitchen, and it’s safe to say the house is smelling amazing… 😍

Here are a few snaps of the hard work and prep that’s gone into just one of today’s treats — with residents getting involved in mixing and baking, including some delicious homemade banana bread 🍌✨

Everything is nearly ready to enjoy with a lovely cup of tea, so pop along, say hello, and treat yourself!
