Parton House Care Home, Located in the heart of the village of Churchdown, Halfway between Gloucester and Cheltenham, It is set back off the road down a long driveway. The home has its own extensive grounds and is surrounded by community allotments and playing fields, giving it a quiet, rural feel.

🍫🎉 Bingo, Hot Chocolate & Cake....

It was all smiles here at Parton House Care Home this weekend as our residents enjoyed a fun-filled few days of bingo, hot chocolates, short walks and plenty of delicious cake! ☕🍰

As the nights draw in and the temperatures drop, we're looking forward to Halloween and festivities here at Parton House.... Stay tuned for more updates from our activities.

🎉💐 A Fond Farewell and Happy Retirement!...

This week at Parton House Care Home, we celebrated a very special day as one of our lovely ladies enjoyed her last day at the home before heading off to enjoy her well-earned retirement.

The team decorated the home beautifully and hosted a cheerful party, complete with a delicious buffet for both staff and residents. 🥳🍰

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with laughter, memories, and heartfelt goodbyes. We wish her all the very best for the next chapter...

Recently, we had the joy of celebrating one of our lovely ladies’ 89th birthday here at Parton House Care Home!

It was a wonderful day filled with smiles, laughter, and of course.. plenty of cake — just as every birthday should be!

From all of us, we’d like to wish her a very Happy 89th Birthday.

🍪✨ Harvest Festival Preparations...

Our residents at Parton House have been busy in the kitchen this week, rolling up their sleeves to make a delicious batch of homemade biscuits. 🧑‍🍳

The biscuits will be enjoyed as part of our Harvest Festival celebrations this Sunday, and there’s nothing quite like the smell of fresh baking to bring a little extra warmth and joy to the home. 💛

🌞🍂 Making the Most of the Late Summer Sunshine...

At Parton House, our residents love nothing more than getting out and about to enjoy the afternoon sunshine. With autumn fast approaching, there’s definitely a little nip in the air — but that just makes these golden afternoons even more special. ✨

We’ve been soaking up the last of the late summer warmth, sharing laughter, stories, and a few gentle strolls in the fresh air.

At Parton House, we believe some of life’s greatest lessons come from the experiences and hearts of our wonderful residents. Recently, we asked:

The answers were heartfelt, uplifting, and sometimes delightfully unexpected. From “Be kind and consider others” to “Don’t get married too young”, and even simple reminders like “Be happy” and “Watch what you are doing and be safe” — each piece of advice is a beautiful reflection of a life well-lived.

🎉✨ Bingo Fun at Parton House!...

Over the weekend, we decided there was only one thing to do… play a good old game of Bingo!

With eyes down and pens at the ready, our residents enjoyed plenty of laughs, some funky number calling, and plenty of excitement as we ticked off Lines, Corners, and Full Houses!

It’s always wonderful to see how something so simple brings out such joy, friendly competition, and plenty of smiles all around.

🎶💛 Music brings us all together...

We asked our lovely residents a simple question this week:
👉 “What’s your favourite song of all time?”

The answers were as wonderful and unique as the people themselves – from musicals like Jesus Christ Superstar and The Sound of Music, to timeless classics like Love Me Do and Baby Love. We even had one resident who couldn’t choose just one, because they simply love all music! 🎵

It was a beautiful reminder of how powerful music is – sparking memories, lifting spirits, and giving everyone a chance to share something personal about themselves. 💐

🥁🎶 Steel Pan Magic...

Here at Parton House, our residents were treated to the vibrant sights and sounds of steel pan music – and what an incredible atmosphere it created! 🌞✨

The uplifting rhythms had everyone tapping their feet, clapping along, and even getting stuck in themselves. It was more than just a performance – it was an interactive, joyful session filled with music, laughter, and smiles all around.

Steel pan music is always a favourite here at Parton House, and it’s easy to see why – the energy, the warmth, and the memories it sparks make it such a special experience for our residents and team alike.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this session so wonderful. We’re already looking forward to the next one! 🎵😊

💪 Staying Active...

This week, our residents took part in a fun chair-based exercise session – from gentle stretches to catching games and moving along to music. 🎶🙌

Don’t be fooled by our concentrated faces… it was all about focus and balance (with plenty of laughter in between! 😄).

These sessions are not only a great way to promote a healthy lifestyle, but they’re also brilliant for fall prevention, mobility, and confidence – all while spending time with friends and staff.

Here at Parton House, we believe that keeping active can be fun at any age! 🌟

It was a beautiful reminder that achievements come in all shapes and sizes – and every milestone tells a story worth celebrating. 💖

With the sunshine shining and the evenings staying warm, we’ve been treating ourselves to one of our residents’ all-time favourites – a refreshing glass of Pimms! ☀️

Packed with fresh fruit, ice, and just the right amount of fizz, it’s the perfect way to relax, chat, and enjoy the summer together. 🥒🍓🍊
