What makes a good yoga teacher?

For me, I like to make all people feel welcome - they've had the courage to try something new for the first time and I appreciate that, so I make a point of going up and introducing myself and asking them questions.

I hope to put people at ease - and to have a laugh - life is hard enough without us all taking ourselves too seriously. I try and make my classes authentic and grounded - yoga for real people.

Come and try my classes in Kingsway on Tuesday mornings.

I've started my own drop in yoga classes at Kingsway Community Centre on Tuesday mornings at 9.30am. This class is for everyone. Even if you're a beginner - if you can come with an open mind and a sense of humour, you will enjoy the sessions.

Most people come in on their first go and tell me that they are inflexible but then I tell them they're in the right place!! You just do what you can, with what you have. Most people have some kind of injury or issue that they are dealing with and I hope I can encourage you to move beyond that to just get your body moving so that you feel better and more hopeful. It's challenging, but it's worth it. :)
