πŸ“š Reading Groups ~ About the Host:

Hi, I'm Jane πŸ‘‹πŸ»

I've spent the last 30+ years working in a variety of full time and part time roles. I'm married with one YA and I have a rescue cat.

πŸ“š Book Clubs:
I ran my very first Reading Group in March 2024, it's fully subscribed. I start my new 2nd Reading Group tomorrow (5th Jan).

πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸŽ“ Qualifications:
I have a BSc (Hons) Degree and I hold a QCF Level 3 in 'Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools'. I also have an ITIL Foundation certificate (ICT).
Holistically, I'm trained/attuned in a First Degree in Reiki and I completed an IPHM Accredited 'Introduction to Spiritual Life Coaching' Diploma a few years ago. This led me into training in a 'Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioural Coaching' Diploma and a 'Mindset for Success Coaching' Diploma in 2023/early 2024. I'm currently studying a 'Positive Psychology' Diploma.

πŸ“ Creative Writing:
Since 2014, I have shared my short fiction and poetry on an online blog (WordPress) and X (previously Twitter).
Around the same time, I was in a pool of commentators for an online writing community for school children. They were from around the world, not just the UK.
Pre-Pandemic, I attended a Creative Writing course (evening classes) held at Gloucestershire College in Cheltenham.

πŸ“˜ Previous Voluntary Work:
I have listened to young readers in Junior School 2-3 times a week.

✨ Holistic Well-Being:
I've hosted Holistic Well-being Workshops, Women's Circles and Holistic Creative Writing Groups since March 2024.

πŸŠβ€β™€οΈ Hobbies:
In Summer 2021, I became an Open Water Swimmer. I've swum throughout the Winter in a Cotswold lake. The cold water swimming inspired me into attending a Wim Hof Breath and Ice Bath Workshop run by two of his daughters in 2022. For charity, I've also done a Fire Walk. I've studied Beginners French, Spanish and Photography at Evening Classes. I also attend a Yoga evening class intermittently. No surprise; I love to read books and thoroughly enjoy a visit to a bookshop.
