We recently had the opportunity to take part in the Dementia Bus training at Woodstock Nursing Home, alongside colleagues from Chapel House Nursing Home, delivered by the Virtual Dementia Tour.

It was a truly eye-opening experience.

The simulation gives a powerful glimpse into what living with dementia can feel like, helping shift understanding beyond theory into something much more real and human,particularly around confusion, sensory overload, and how everyday environments can feel unfamiliar.

Most of all, we felt incredibly proud of the teams from both homes. They took it all in, asked thoughtful questions, and approached the experience with openness, care, and genuine willingness to learn.

A big thank you to the Virtual Dementia Tour for delivering such a meaningful and impactful training session.
