Today we celebrated International Women’s Day by asking our wonderful ladies a special question: “What does it mean to you to be a woman?” 💐

We heard some beautiful answers about strength, kindness, motherhood, friendship and resilience. Our ladies shared memories, laughter and stories from their lives, reminding us just how much wisdom they hold.

Together we created a lovely International Women’s Day board, filled with their thoughts and reflections. It was a meaningful activity that celebrated the amazing women in our home and the lives they’ve lived.

Today we celebrated World Wildlife Day in our home 🐾🌍

Our residents enjoyed spending the afternoon completing wildlife colouring pages and animal-themed crosswords. It was a wonderful opportunity to reminisce about favourite animals, holidays to the seaside, and trips to the zoo, with lots of lovely conversations along the way.

This afternoon our residents enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea together ☕🍰 There were plenty of delicious treats, warm conversations and lots of smiles. We had wonderful 50s music playing on the record player, bringing back many special memories and creating a calm, nostalgic atmosphere. A truly relaxing and enjoyable afternoon for everyone 💛

Today we had a lovely time celebrating a very special lady, Daphne’s birthday here at the home 🎉🎂

Residents and staff came together to make her day extra memorable with cake, smiles, and lots of laughter. Daphne was truly spoiled and enjoyed every moment of the celebrations.

We had a wonderful time celebrating Chinese New Year here at the home 🧧🎉 Residents enjoyed a delicious themed lunch filled with flavour, colour, and lots of smiles. A huge thank you to our amazing chef for creating such a special meal and making the day so memorable for everyone. It was lovely to come together, learn about the traditions, and share the celebrations ❤️
