Today is World Mental Health Day, and at Chapel House Care Home, we’re reminded how important it is to support the mental well-being of our residents every day.
Here are a few simple ways to boost mental health in older adults:
Stay socially connected – regular chats with family, friends, or fellow residents.
Keep physically active – gentle walks or chair exercises can lift mood.
Engage in hobbies and interests – crafts, reading, or music.
Practice mindfulness and relaxation – deep breathing, meditation, or simply enjoying nature.
Ensure good sleep and nutrition – small changes can make a big difference.
