This is a new class in a new space that has been created especially to support women.

My classes are created so the yoga experiences isn’t necessary. You don’t need to know what you’re doing and you definitely don’t need to be flexible.

It will be a space to arrive, take it at your own pace, and see how it feels.

Gentle Yoga for Women

Sitting still and clearing your mind doesn’t come easily or naturally to many of us, yet that’s often the way meditation is offered.

For me, when I stopped trying to go straight into stillness and started listening to what my body actually needed first. Movement, breath awareness and space to feel.

From there, stillness is somewhere I arrive rather than force my way into.

This is the the approach I share in MOVE & MEDITATE, a slow & steady body-led way in.

April’s session sold out and the next one will be on Wednesday 13th May, 6:30-7:30pm.

If you’ve ever felt like meditation isn’t for you because your mind is busy or your body won’t settle these sessions might be a different experience for you.

For many women slowing down can feel unfamiliar, I see this all the time on my treatment table and in yoga classes.

What I can’t promise you is that you’ll feel amazingly relaxed when you come to classes, what I can promise you as a steadily held space where there is no expectation or pressure to make anything in particular happen.

What I have also witnessed in my own practice and that of others is that consistently showing up for ourselves, allowing what is and working with that is when a new kind of internal coherence comes online and things that once felt impossible start to become possible.

Starting 6th May I will be offering this approach in a space just for women.

I taught the first Move & Meditate at Still & Wild Wellness this week.

It’s a different kind of space, no big movements and no clear moment where you’ve achieved something.

It’s a space for turning inward, feeling and being with what is, it’s sometimes an edgy way to explore how we do at staying with ourselves.

This kind of practice is subtle and while I’ve spent years teaching, holding space, and guiding people into their bodies, this was the first time I let this particular shape of the work stand on its own, in all its quiet depth.

We’re so used to focusing on regulation and trying to soothe, shift or change how we feel and while there’s value in that, it’s not the whole picture.

In a world that feels fast, full and often overwhelming what we really need isn’t just to calm ourselves down, it’s the capacity to stay with ourselves.

Yet whilst there was nothing to achieve there was a palpable grounded stillness at end of the session. It’s amazing what can happen when we get out of our own way.

I’m starting a new Wednesday morning class designed to be simple and supportive, whether you’re completely new to yoga or have an existing practice.

You don’t need to be flexible or keep up any kind of appearance, just come with a willingness to meet yourself as you are.

If you haven’t heard I teach a yoga class on Thursday evenings in a really peaceful spot by the canal (Coterie Studio, Castle Lane).

It’s a warm, friendly space with simple movement, breath and rest nothing complicated, and no pressure to get anything “right”.

Sitting down for a longer meditation can feel daunting. Especially when the mind is busy, body twitchy, and stillness feels miles away.

Over time I’ve learned that trying to leap straight into silence rarely works but through movement, breathwork and connecting more deeply to our senses changes everything.

The body and the breath are portals into something steadier within and when we take that gradual path in, stillness becomes somewhere we arrive rather than somewhere we force.

This is the heart of MOVE & MEDITATE, a gentle session that weaves somatic movement and breathwork into guided meditation, so by the time it comes to settle, something inside already has.
