It is the end of 16 Days of Activism, but our fight to end gender based violence will not stop! ✨

We would like to take this opportunity to launch our new campaign ‘Fair Play’, this is joint between GDASS and Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust SARC 👟

On Friday we hosted a workshop event to trial the activities, we were so pleased to be joined by Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gloucestershire , The Royal Agricultural University , University of Gloucestershire and a range of other professionals in sports and fitness.

Thank you to The Func Society for the support in hosting this event and letting us use their beautiful gym 🏋️‍♀️
Find more about the launch event here: https://www.ghc.nhs.uk/news/fair-play-campaign-launched-to-tackle-gender-based-violence/

This campaign seeks to involve all agencies across Gloucestershire, we were lucky enough to have FearFree deliver a fantastic talk on what they offer and changing behaviours.

There will be many opportunities to get involved in ‘Fair Play’, if you would like to take part or host a workshop please contact us.

Domestic Abuse can often include acts of Sexual Abuse. We support anyone who has experienced sexual abuse, regardless of when it has happened.

Research has shown that during major football events there is an increase in Domestic Abuse ⚽️ We have therefore teamed up with GDASS this month, to support them with their ‘myth busting’ campaign and raise awareness of both services.

If you, or anyone you know, needs support surrounding domestic abuse, you can contact GDASS helpline 01452 726 570, or in emergency call 999.

Thank you to everyone that attended our SARC re-opening morning yesterday! It was lovely to speak to representatives from multiple organisations.

This event allowed us to show off some of the incredible changes to our unit; allowing full access to rooms which are usually forensically sealed off.

We had over 70 professionals attend! 😁 We’re looking forward to officially re-opening later today!

‘Movement: Moving more for our mental health’ is the theme of Mental Health Awareness Week 2024

Inspired by this theme, we have been looking at our own self care and reflecting on how we can practice this in our everyday; both from home and in the world place.

How do you practice Self Care? 🧘💜
