🚨 Important Notice

We are experiencing a high level of staff sickness today, which means our reception and urgent care team is operating with very limited staffing. As a result, some appointments may need to be rearranged and certain patients may be directed to alternative healthcare services where appropriate.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Please be patient and kind to our team—everyone is working extremely hard during this challenging time.

Thank you for your understanding. 💙

🚨 Patients should never be left without their essential medication: there are measures in place to support continuous access to medication.

If a patient is running low and is unable to access their medicines through their usual pharmacy, there are two options available:
• Contact NHS 111 – They can arrange for another pharmacy to dispense the medication under the Pharmacy First Scheme.
• Contact your GP Practice – As a last resort, the GP can issue a new prescription, which can then be collected from an alternative pharmacy.

GPs routinely advise patients to request repeat prescriptions in good time to avoid running out of medication.

Patients can decide to change the pharmacy from which their prescriptions are routinely dispensed (their nominated pharmacy) using the NHS app or by going to their new pharmacy and asking them to change their nomination. Patients can also choose to nominate a distance-selling pharmacy which will deliver prescriptions directly to a patient’s home free of charge.

If your usual pharmacy is closed, staff at the neighbouring pharmacies will be working hard to support you and other people who need their medication urgently. They will let you know how long it will take to get your medication ready for collection.
