So I have been a little remiss in posting here. My health has taken a bit of a bashing and my beloved dog was put down too! It felt hard to share the news. Plus lots of tests… blood samples… ECGs. Anyhow I am sure many of you can relate. Here is a picture of my faithful goofy dog Oreo.

Thank you so much for all the love and well wishes. The last 24 hours or so have been intense. I have learnt some valuable lessons. The doctors and nurses in A and E are drowning but doing a magnificent job. They sent me to SDEC - same day emergency as I wasn’t having a discernible heart attack. Same day emergency care looked after me so incredibly well. The care, compassion, knowledge and expertise was incredible. The comraderie amoung people waiting was nothing short of heroic. I am so grateful for the first class care. The whole experience has been a salutary reminder to take much better care of myself.

Today I decided on some deeper levels of self care. I have not been ferling myself for some months. What could I do differently? I know that food can harm and it can heal! So I went to see a food allergy specialist/ wow so helpful- she even picked up the damage caused to my kidneys and liver through having malaria and dysentery some neatly 40 years ago! Highly recommend this talented woman! Left feeling empowered and with a plan! .

I’ve changed….Great morning working with my long term student Daniel. We are working on a reduced rates clinic where he can learn and patients can get hands on treatment with an experienced physio (me) but Daniel gets a chance to interact and learn also. He is doing well so far …3 weeks in! #
