Happy Tuesday everyone we started the day we some giant Jenga which is always very tense you need a very steady hand 😬
We finished they day with some wonderfully magnificent music from Mel Lewis playing his keyboard taking us on a musical journey through the decades 🎶👏

Last year we created our very own mini wildlife garden we introduced a insect 🕷🕷🐜hotel along with a hedgehog house.🦔
We also have three resident squirrels that live in our garden that love playing on the grass ,our residents always shout “There here “ when then see them 😁
So today we made some bird feeders and hid some nuts in the garden for the squirrels
we spent the afternoon putting our feet up watching squirrels playing while we had a lovely hot chocolate with cream and sprinkles 🫶

Friday Boozy Bingo is becoming very popular 🤔🫢🍷😂
What a lovely afternoon with residents and their families having a fun filled game of Bingo with a glass of vino 🍷 lots of laughter as always 👏

We have been knitting and nattering continuing with making squares for blankets and nattering about daily news
And an afternoon of link logo were we had to link the pictures this was harder than we thought 🫣🤔🫢😁.
We finished the day with a movie Mamma Mia nibbles a cup of tea and a sing song 🎶🎶

Today is world food day 🫶
Here at Westbourne we would like to help people in our community who may need to seek some help for their families
We have been donating food to Gloucester food bank for the past year and we are asking again for your donations throughout October,November and December we have a donation station set up in our reception area for any non perishable foods thank you for all donations so far 👏🫶

This morning we have included a lovely pumpkin spice latte to our refreshment trolley so nice now the darker days are drawing in we will also be including some more hot choc treats and a range of toppings 🫶
Today here at Westbourne 🫶
One to one interaction is so incredibly important to our residents focusing on meaningful conversations can improve well being and can support with social engagement.Today we used the memory ball to discuss past travels and life stories which are always so incredible.
We have also had a wonderful afternoon with cuddles from our favourite buddy teddy the pet therapy dog 🐶 he is always such a character our residents love him 🐶
