Happy new year from the Inclusion Hubs! We hope everyone had a great festive break.

Our Inclusion Hubs are back open and offering a free, safe space for disabled people, and people facing disabling barriers, to learn new skills and make new friends. Here are just some of the activities running at the hubs this month:

Gloucester Hub: This is at the Friend’s Meeting House in Gloucester, on Mondays and Wednesdays 11am-2pm.
This month is a crafty one, and the Gloucester Hub will be hosting a few arts and craft sessions run by our staff, and Art Shape.
On Monday 12th we will be having a “members choice” day, this is a chance for you to tell us what you would like to see at the hubs this year.

Women’s Wellbeing Hub: This is at the Friendship Café in Gloucester, on Wednesdays 10.30am-12.30pm.
On 14th January we will be learning some skills to build our confidence.
After the success of our last poetry sessions, we will be running another poetry workshop with Halima on the 28th January.

Cheltenham Hub: This is at the Oasis Centre in Cheltenham, on Thursdays 1-3pm.
Our first session this month is on the 15th January and we will be doing some art with Art Shape.

Forest Hub: This is at The Main Place in Coleford, on Wednesdays 10am-12pm.
The Forest of Dean hub returns a bit later this month on the 21st January. We will be doing a session with Building Circles on Gender Identity & Sexuality.
On the 28th January we will be starting a singing course with Art Shape.

Are you a retired person?

Have you experienced any barriers to accessing healthcare?

Do you have an interest in sharing your story?

Our next Speak Up Group offers a supportive space for people who face disabling barriers and issues surrounding navigating the healthcare system as a retired person. It is an opportunity to share your experiences and hear what others have to say about topics and issues important to them.

Participants will also view a performance about an individual with lived experience, navigating the healthcare system, followed by a discussion on the issues and potential solutions. The performance will be repeated, allowing audience members to take the main character's role and try to change the outcomes.

Tea and coffee will be provided. Please contact St Oswald's (contact details on the poster) to secure your place.
