Henry is one of my regulars and everytime I see him I’m in awe of his incredible moustache! This week he enjoyed a full body massage and PEMFT session.

Not sure my photography does it justice but he honestly has one of the best handlebar moustaches in the country ❤️

This lovely boy suffers from severe headshaking, which makes riding a struggle. The pics show his relaxation after head work focusing on the trigeminal nerves, and K-taping to continue the calming effect.

These pics are of a client’s 10yo TB who they ‘rescued’ from a yard where he was used to nanny the younger horses in training. It is a shocking reminder of just how much damage is done without a correctly fitting saddle.

His new owners have been doing a wonderful job of rehabbing him since April with groundwork and I’ve supported with a therapy programme of massage, myofascial release and PEMFT.

He could barely cope with light touch at our first session, and although he is still sensitive with scar tissue over his withers, he has made a huge improvement.

Needless to say, they have also consulted a qualified saddle fitter to find the best solution for him moving forward

Very excited to say that I won this beautiful bridle in a BD competition this week! I’ve had my eye on one for a while with its clever design to reduce pressure points.
Thank you Zebra Products for such a brilliant prize.
I literally never win competitions, so it’s even more exciting to me! 🥰

Congratulations to last week's lucky winner of a Finesse Cassidy Snaffle Bridle, from Zebra Products, worth £399!

👉 A rolled leather bridle with unique padded headpiece. This luxury bridle is made with the ‘highly recommended’ stamp for horse welfare from 2020 University of Copenhagen study.

👉 The bridle features no side buckles as the nose and cheeks do up with one buckle above the poll padding and also has a wide padded noseband.

Amazing weekend learning from Manolo Mendez, one of the world’s best! Classical training in parallel with bodywork for all round mental and physical wellness ❤️🐴

As one of the founding members of The Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art in Jerez, he possesses mind blowing skill in his training, which he combines with hands-on therapy to make sure horses develop into sound, happy athletes. So grateful to have had this opportunity as he’s based in Australia 🙏

🧲 PEMFT (pulsed electromagnetic field therapy) or PulseMag 🧲

I often get asked about this when working on horses, so here’s some info…

⭐️ It’s a gentle therapy but strong enough to cause effective changes in bone and soft tissue.

⭐️ Unlike static magnets, the electromagnetic charge of PEMFT is constantly rising and falling, creating a dynamic electromagnetic field with a frequency.

⭐️ I can adjust this frequency from 1 to 200Hz to treat different tissues/purposes using my Westville Biomag, which can also treat two locations at once.

⭐️ All cells in the body have a tiny electrical charge over the cell membrane. Any challenge to the cell, such as inflammation, toxicity, oxygen or nutrient deficiency, can upset this charge.

⭐️ Simply put, the pulsed electromagnetic charge of PEMFT rebalances and energises the cells - better moving nutrients in and toxins out of cells, aiding healing and recovery.

What can PMFT treat?

⭐️ Soft tissue: tendons, ligaments, muscles, nerves, lesions, oedemas and capillaries.
⭐️ Bone: fractures (union and non-union), splints, trauma and bruising.
⭐️ Nerve: pain and numbness.

I include PEMFT, at no extra charge, whenever it’s needed in my therapy sessions.

🤲 Hands-on therapy always forms the core of my sessions, but I’m also trained to use a range of electrotherapies which are brilliant, either in combination or as a stand-alone therapy.
These include longwave therapeutic ultrasound, PEMFT (pulsed electromagnetic field therapy) and red light therapy. Clients often ask about these so I’ll do a few posts over the next week to explain the benefits.
