The Grove's resident Pam has been really enjoying getting creative and with the support of the team has made some frames so her artwork is now up on the wall in her bedroom.

What a beautiful day for Blossom Fields' trip to the Three Brooks Nature Reserve.

Three Brooks Nature Conservation Group is located near the home in Bradley Stoke and this was the first outing Blossom Fields have taken to this local nature reserve. The team and residents walked about a mile from one of the entrance gates to the duck pond, two deer even crossed their paths.

There were stunning spring blossoms that looked even more spectacular in the sunshine. Everyone so enjoyed being outside and as always thank you to Green Community Travel for making the bus ride part of the outing!

With Easter around the corner Olive Tree House residents set to work on creating some giant Easter eggs!

The residents found the ripping and gluing tissue paper quite therapeutic and the bright coloured eggs look great ready for the home's Easter display.

Rose Garden and Olive Tree House residents had a lovely time at this week's Patchway Memory Cafe. The entertainment was singer Thea from Mini Concerts; with a fantastic repertoire of songs everyone was singing along and there was even some dancing!

Today Blossom Fields welcomed their friends from the Winterbourne Library Coffee Morning to the home for tea and cake. The Blossom Fields' residents who regularly attend the Library Coffee Morning took great pleasure in hosting the guests along with residents from the Grove. As always, the conversation flowed as much as the tea. The residents enjoyed showing the visitors around the home as well as the gardens on such a beautiful day. It wasn’t quite warm enough to sit outside – maybe next time! 🍰🫖☀️

Over the past year residents from Blossom Fields and The Grove have regularly attended the Winterbourne Library Coffee Morning and have really got to know the locals who attend. The homes' residents and team have been made so welcome at the library, so it was lovely to return the hospitality.

It was a glorious day in Winterbourne today with blue skies and the sun shining ☀

This morning The Grove's Deputy Manager Angela and Team Leader Nicola enjoyed a lovely walk with two of the home's residents who have always loved being outdoors. Both gentlemen delighted in watching the koi carp and spotting the birds over the fields at the back of The Grove whilst soaking up the fresh air and the sights of nature. 🐟🐦

The walk finished with a gentle stroll along the High Street, and during their outing, both residents shared how much they would love to join the weekly walking club, which will restart in the coming weeks! 🚶‍♂️💚

A leprechaun on reception was the perfect welcome for St Patrick's Day at Blossom Fields!

The home looked great decorated for the occasion and with Irish stew and Guinness for lunch the theme continued throughout the day. It was wonderful to see Irish themed dress around the home.

Today's visit to the Oasis Memory Cafe at Chipping Sodbury Baptist Church took everyone forward to Easter as it was the last cafe before Easter. Minister Tom spoke to everyone about about comfort and the importance of Easter, all who came along were given a card with Easter blessings, a bunch of daffodils and a chocolate treat which was so kind. The Blossom Fields residents and team always receive such a warm welcome from the volunteers at the cafe.

It was an absolutely fabulous Mother's Day at Olive Tree House and Rose Garden with a blooming botanical theme.

Families were welcomed to join their loved one for a traditional afternoon tea and it was very special to see all the generations coming together. Finger sandwiches and cakes were enjoyed with endless pots of tea!

Every lady received a special gift in a teapot or handbag box and for those who were unable to come to the lounges the activities team personally delivered their gift.

Residents created the beautiful flower arrangements that were the table centre pieces. There was an army of volunteers who helped make Mothering Sunday so special. The students didn't stop on Thursday making the floral table cloths, and thank you so much to everyone who helped out on the day.

Every detail was thought through by the activities team to ensure it was a day to remember ❤️
