We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Richard Whitehead to our Proactive Leeds Clinic this week for some fine-tuning and adjustments to his running blades, just in time for his 99th marathon in Chicago this weekend! 🇺🇸

Richard also left us truly inspired (and a little emotional) with his incredible gift - the running blades he used to complete the Zimbabwe Marathon. The dust still clinging to those blades tells a powerful story of determination, resilience, and countless miles of hard work.

Thank you, Richard, for your continued trust in Proactive and for sharing your remarkable journey with us. 🙌

We’re so proud to share that our amazing Proactive team took on the Robin Hood Half Marathon in support of the The Richard Whitehead Foundation , raising an incredible £1,757 along the way! 🏃‍♀️💙

Our runners powered through and crossed the finish line strong, showing true determination, energy, and team spirit every step of the way. 🏁

🌟 Today, Team Proactive, along with our amazing family and friends, took part in the fantastic Run With Rich event! 🏃‍♂️💙

It was a brilliant day full of smiles, energy, and so many familiar faces. We loved every minute of it!

Huge thanks to everyone who came out and made it so special. 🙌

Now we're gearing up for tomorrow's Robin Hood Half Marathon, where a team of 7 Proactive runners will be hitting the course in support of the incredible The Richard Whitehead Foundation, while more of our fantastic Proactive team will be there volunteering to help cheer everyone on. 👟💙

We love seeing patient crafted care in action...

Helen Saunders (physio) and Andrew Reece (prosthetist) from the team took Ted out this week to put his trial Genium X4 knee through its paces on all kinds of terrain 🦿

From smooth footpaths to root covered ground.

Yesterday the Proactive team attended the NINE Chambers conference in Manchester.

Highlight of the day was a very informative panel discussion hosted by Mathew Snarr from Nine Chambers.

The panel also included Proactive's Clinical Specialist Prosthetists Alan McDougall & Asad Khan, Dr Bhasker Basu - Rehab consultant and Holly King - Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist.

The whole day was attended by a great audience including case managers, claimant solicitors, defendant solicitors, insurers plus barristers from Nine Chambers.

We had the absolute pleasure of meeting Aaron Moon recently.

Aaron is a former Royal Marines Commando, athlete, motivational speaker, and Hunter on Channel 4’s Hunted.

In 2026, he will attempt a Guinness World Record by cycling the entirety of Route 66 - 2,486 miles from Chicago to Los Angeles - in just 24 days with no rest days.

The challenge aims to raise £100,000 for Blesma, The Limbless Veterans, Wounded Warrior Project, and WhysUp, while inspiring others through his Reborn Mindset philosophy of resilience, purpose, and never quitting.

Proactive will be supporting Aaron with his prosthetic care in the build up to his challenge.

“Where Case Managers Fear To Tread” was attended by a range of professionals such as case managers, therapists, solicitors and defendants who came together to look at the client journey.

We were delighted to support this event by sponsoring and also exhibiting our range of prosthetic & orthotic solutions that we can support case managers and their clients with.
