This is so interesting and exactly what I’ve been intuitively doing recently!

This is amazing! Clinical studies have now shown that vegetables, even after they have been harvested, increased their nutrient volume and potency at 12 noon in comparison to other times of the day.

This is such important research because we know that our digestive system is also strongest and best able to receive food at 12 noon.

Combine these two separate areas of research and it shows why consuming a larger/main meal at lunch time, especially one loaded with whole food goodness, is so healthy for us humans.

It allows us to extract more nutrients from the food we eat, the food we eat increases in potency, we digest more effectively, we support better gut health and thus immunity and it encourages having a smaller evening meal which has consistently been linked to better weight, metabolic and health profiles.

This is why Ayurveda emphasizes with such importance the health promoting benefits of making lunch the biggest meal of the day and interestingly, this is the pattern observed in the world’s top longevity zones!

Who tries to regularly make lunch their biggest meal of the day, I’d love to know!

Just finished this 4 day course with the brilliant Gary Ward. I’ve done countless courses in my time but finally found something that will really help me to help you get to the root cause of your issues especially if you’re in pain and nothing else has helped!

A magical four days with this crew of wonderfully focussed AiM students. The post-covid next generation reboot 😃

4 days
7 phases
8 body shapes
2 leg shapes
3 dimensions
0.6-0.8 seconds
1 special little passenger 🤰✨
and 6 'magical exercises'

Really grateful to have you all on board and hope to see you again soon.

Already looking forward to doing it all again 🙏🏻

A great new addition to my clinic - helping people really address root causes of their pain issues. Looking forward to this 4 day course in May with Gary Ward in London.

With the upcoming flow motion model course (live 😃) and filming the online version as well I thought I'd make a post about the model itself and it's usage.

The model describes the journey of each bone and joint in three dimensions through a full stride. Each stride is divided up into seven phases:
- Strike
- Suspension
- Transition
- Shift
- Propulsion
- Early Swing
- Late Swing

Each phase occupies a body shape. A snapshot if you will of the bodies optimum position at this moment in time. In an ideal world your left foot suspension phase would be identical to your right foot suspension phase otherwise you will have imbalance in your body. This is reflected in joint range, tissue length and your discomforts as well. Each phase also creates a movement pattern that we can work on to promote this level of balance on both sides. More importantly than that, the model creates a map for us to navigate the body. We use it to explain how movement issues and potentially pain at one part of the body is being influenced by another part of the body via the interconnections of movement between the two. All bones and joints are inter-related in their movement. Limitations in one joint affect everything. The Flow MM map helps us to work out or see how that limitation is affecting everything OR how given the situation at large, we can begin to work backwards and uncover the one joint motion that's holding everything back.

I personally think it's a very clean model that offers incredible insight to what is going on in the human body at any given time while also highlighting to us what we need to do with it as well. But as my friend once said... it's simple, not easy! It takes time to learn and get used to using and anyone who has taken the time to do that will vouch for its value 😊

It hasn’t taken mainstream ‘science’ long to catch up with what we already knew! 😂

When it comes to cell phone use, keep in mind, distance is your friend! Try to limit your duration of exposure and the proximity of the device to the body. When talking on the phone, use speakerphone or wired air tube headset to reduce exposure to the head. Also, try to avoid Bluetooth and other wireless headsets.

For those of you that think sleeping all through the night is the way things automatically’should’ be …..

For millennia, people slept in two shifts – once in the evening, and once in the morning. But why? And how did the habit disappear?
