We’re so excited to launch our new small-group Pilates classes this September, led by Chartered Physiotherapist Victoria Salomonsen. With 15 years of experience teaching Pilates, Victoria brings the perfect balance of clinical expertise and supportive teaching.

Here’s a quick guide:

❓ Soreness feels better after a few days and usually eases with movement
⚠️ Injury may feel sharp, worsen with activity, or come with swelling or bruising

If in doubt, a quick physio assessment can save you weeks of discomfort.

Long car ride or flight this summer? 🚗✈️

Sitting for hours can tighten your hips and leave your back feeling stiff. Try these travel-friendly stretches at a rest stop:

🦵 Seated knee hug (great for hip mobility)
🤸♂️ Standing quad stretch (hold on to the car!)
🚶♀️ Take a short 5-minute walk every 1–2 hours

Your body will thank you when you reach your destination.

💙 A message from the team at Godalming Physio

From 15th September 2025, we’ll be making a small update to our appointment fees.

We want to be completely open with you about why — and how — we’ve come to this decision.

🧾 Every year, we review our pricing to ensure it keeps pace with inflation and reflects the rising costs of running a modern physiotherapy service. This includes clinic overheads, ongoing staff training, and the time we dedicate to each and every patient — not just during your session, but in the planning and support we offer between appointments.

🕒 This year, we’ve also taken a closer look at how our appointment durations are priced. We realised that our 45-minute appointments were significantly underpriced per minute compared to 30-minute sessions. To keep things fair and sustainable, we’re adjusting those rates a little more than the others.

What’s not changing is the care we put into every session.

✅ You’ll still receive personalised, hands-on treatment
✅ You’ll still see experienced clinicians who genuinely care
✅ And we’re still committed to giving you time, attention, and expert support every step of the way

👋 Meet Shelley Baker – our amazing Practice Manager!
Shelley brings a wealth of experience in business and a lifelong passion for health and fitness. She’s represented TeamGB in age group triathlon at both the European and World Championships – an incredible achievement!
After co-directing a successful family business for over a decade, Shelley made the exciting move to combine her business expertise with her love for the wellness world.
Outside of work, she coaches and plays netball for Waverley Vipers, where her two daughters also play. She loves travelling (especially safari adventures – leopards are her favourite! 🐆), spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors as much as possible.
We’re thrilled to have her on the team!

Bespoke Clinical Pilates prescribed by a physiotherapist to aid recovery from musculoskeletal injury

A bright, well equipped environment to work out those aches and pains! The studio, within my house in Milford, has an Align C1-Pro Pilates Reformer equipped with jump board and long box. I also have small equipment including a Swiss Ball, Magic Circle, foam rollers, BOSU and Spin Discs.

I have 12 years experience using Clinical Pilates to treat conditions such as low back pain, ankle instability, joint replacements, scoliosis, fractures, hypermobility, pre and post natal women, Osteoarthritis and neurological conditions.
