Orpheus is an independent specialist college in Surrey that increases the confidence and skills of young disabled adults through the performing arts. We believe that every young disabled person should have the same opportunities as their non-disabled peers. We offer a holistic learning programme, a supported housing scheme and a domiciliary support service.

🧑‍🍳 Over the last year, the student Independence groups have regularly worked in our Life Skills Kitchen. There, they develop their cooking/food prep skills, learning how to make a range of tasty snacks including the scones and scotch eggs you may spot in the photos.

As well as this, they do work around budgeting and visit local supermarkets to buy the food they need for their dishes. All this excellent work ensures students can feel much more independent and confident with day-to-day life activities like preparing their own meals 😊
