Woohoo!! 👏 I will be able to start seeing you from Monday 12th April.

I have a small booking appointment marathon to complete, but will get to you ASAP.

🤞 Delighted to say that I may be able to resume working as from 12th April... 🤞

Already have a list of people wanting appointments... so please message me if you’d like adding to the list. I'll then be in touch with dates and times a little closer to the 12th April to get appointments booked.

Thank you for being so patient, through what is a very difficult and tough time for so many.
Looking forward to seeing you all again 😊

Update for clients...

👍 The Government has given the go-ahead for Sports Therapists to return to work!!

** First day back will be Thursday 16th July ** To avoid any confusion, if you would like to book an appointment, please either message or call me, rather than writing a message on this post- 07753355799 😊

In the meantime I will be working my way through the waiting list that’s built up during the last few weeks, to get you all booked in.

I do look forward to seeing you all again!
With best wishes,
Jen x

A notice to all my clients:
ALL APPOINTMENTS ARE NOW CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
I will contact everyone booked in over the next few weeks directly as well.

Following the latest advice from both the Government and Sports Therapy Associations, it is necessary that I temporarily suspend my clinic.

I fully intend to be back and working again as soon as advice allows, but in the meantime the health of my clients, their families, myself and my family have to be the priority.

This was not a decision I made lightly, as I understand that many of you rely upon your sessions with me for your injury recovery and continued health. I appreciate your trust in me to aid you in your healing journey, and look forward to working together towards your health goals again soon.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, or for injury advice - I will endeavour to do my best, from a distance, for you all.

Take care of yourselves and each other, and thank you for your kind comments and understanding.

A very interesting read - everything is connected.

A very interesting read - everything is connected.

If you have issues with your shoulders the first place that I check is your pelvis.

Why?

Because this is your centre. Any problems here can transfer up (and down) your body.

If this is fine then it's onto your lumbar spine. If this is also fine then I move to your thoracic spine.

But WHY do I check your thoracic spine before your shoulders if it's your shoulders that have the issue?

HOW can a restriction here cause problems within your shoulder?

Well, this is because you SHOULD be able to rotate your thoracic spine around 35 degrees.

However, quite often the majority of us do not have this capacity. Our Thoracic Spines become stable rather than mobile.

As a consequence, limited movement in the Thoracic Spine means that the shoulder joint has to take some of the slack.

So when you can't turn to your side in order to pick something up via your thoracic spine, then your shoulders will have to move more in order to reach the extra bit.

And more movement in the shoulder is not always a good thing either.

Why?

Because this is a joint that requires stability.

And when a shoulder becomes unstable because it has to do the work of the Thoracic spine, well, we're going to see a truck load of problems start happening.

So we need to make sure that our thoracic spines are not providing stability when we need mobility from them.

And we need to make sure that our shoulders are not providing mobility when what we really need is stability.

Let's not get these two mixed up.
