Alan Walter 'Locky' Lockwood
Eileen, Matthew, Gemma & Sally (his treasured cat) are sad to announce the passing of Alan, on 25th August in Scunthorpe Hospital, aged 70 years of West Cowick.
Originally a 'Cas lad' who loved village life and the surrounding area. Funeral to take place at East Cowick Church on Thursday 11th September at 1.30pm, followed by refreshments at The Ship Inn, West Cowick. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to be shared between Mind Mental Health & Cowick Church Yard.
The family would also like to thank his sisters and brother-in-law, kind neighbours and strangers-alike for looking out for Alan in the later stages of his life. They take some comfort in knowing he is finally at peace.

Patrick ' Pat' McEvoy
Pat's family are heartbroken at the loss of their Dad and Grandad extraordinaire. Finally reunited with his wife Pauline and loved very much by many. Passed away peacefully, on 8th August 2025, aged 86 years. He was fun, kind, wise and unconventional in the most delightful ways. He was a self made, accomplished man, strong until the last moment. His family are so very proud of him. A well respected retired Inspector for West Yorkshire Police.
Graveside service (optional) at All Saints Church, Crofton, Sunday 24th August at 2pm, followed by a celebration of his wonderful life at Ackworth School, Pontefract Rd, WF7 7LT, at 3pm. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, for Gate 41 at Pinderfields Hospital and Dementia UK.

Dress code: Colourful attire please

Sadly announcing, on 28th July 2025, peacefully, but suddenly at his home, aged 62 years in Rawcliffe, formerly of Snaith.
Dear son to the late Richard ‘Dick’ and Margaret ‘Peggy’. A much loved brother to Richard and uncle to Elise.
Funeral service at Memoria Crematorium, Barnby Dun on Thursday 21st August, 11am. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, for the British Heart Foundation. Afterwards at The Brewer’s Arms, Snaith.

Judith ‘Judy’ BELL,
Sadly announcing on 7th July 2025, passed peacefully at her home in Snaith, aged 80 years.
Dearly loved friend to Sue and all who knew her. Cherished sister to the late John. Much loved auntie, great auntie and cousin.
Funeral service at Pontefract Crematorium on Wednesday 23rd July, 1pm. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Sadly and suddenly on 16th June 2025, at her home in Barmby Moor, aged 48 years, formerly of Carlton and Selby.
Much loved partner to Ian. Mother to Amy Elizabeth, Molly Louise, Alarna May and Joshua. Loved daughter to Melvyn and the late Dorothy Maria. Sister to Jayne. Missed by all her family and friends.
A private burial will be held at Snaith Cemetery followed by a memorial service of thanksgiving at St Mary’s Parish Church, Carlton at 1pm on Friday 4th July. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
