In Loving Memory of
Stephanie Patricia Elizabeth Turner
13th October 1944- 27th March 2026

It is with great sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of Stephanie Patricia Elizabeth Turner, who left us peacefully on 27th March 2026, aged 81.

Stephanie was a devoted and loving wife to her husband Malcom, whose partnership and companionship meant the world to her. She was a cherished mother to Helen, Richard, Kathryn, and Stephen, and warmly welcomed their partners into her family with open arms and a generous heart.

Family was at the centre of Stephanie’s life. She was a proud and loving Nana to Rebecca, Christopher, Richard, Heather, Jessica, Kelan, Jarred, Kyle, Lucie, and Jasmina, each of whom brought her immense joy. Her love extended even further as a doting Great Nana to Jack, Archie, James, Ella, Emilia, Harper, and Issac, who will forever carry her warmth and kindness in their hearts.

Stephanie will be remembered for her unwavering love, her gentle strength, and the way she brought comfort and care to those around her. Her home was always a place of welcome, laughter, and togetherness.

A funeral service to celebrate Stephanie’s life will take place at Woodlands Crematorium, Scunthorpe, on Friday 17th April at 11:20am. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and honour her memory.

In lieu of flowers, there will be an opportunity to make donations to charities close to the family’s hearts, as a tribute to Stephanie’s caring and compassionate spirit.

Stephanie will be deeply missed and forever loved, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and family.

Care, Compassion and Dignity is at the forefront of our minds when taking care of a families loved one, it’s our core values.

These three simply rules that we abide by show in our work. This isn’t a funeral we are doing, we are taking care of someone’s final journey on this earth, whilst supporting families who sometimes are left lost, confused and with no experience in this process.

Many thanks to the Allen family, not just for this review but for trusting me with your mum/Nanna’s final journey.

Warning this post could be upsetting…

It’s incredibly saddening to hear recent news that a funeral director near Goole has been charging families for children’s funerals. At a time when no parent or loved one should have to think about anything other than grieving and remembering, the thought of financial burden being added to that pain is truly heartbreaking.

At Casselden & Walsh Independent Funeral Directors, we want to make our position absolutely clear. We will never charge for our services when it comes to arranging a child’s funeral. Supporting families through the most difficult moments of their lives is not about profit, it’s about compassion, dignity, and care.

The only costs that may arise are optional third-party extras at cost price, such as dove releases or ashes caskets and these are always entirely the family’s choice, with full transparency.

We stand with our community, always. 🤍

Should you pay to come visit your loved one in our chapel?

Absolutely not!

Should there be a time limit or can you visit in office hours only?

No and available 24/7

We truly believe that when we are entrusted with your loved one’s care our funeral directors becomes their home before we say goodbye on their final journey.

They never charged you to come and visit and neither will we.

Grief is not a 9 to 5 feeling and we will always be on the end of the phone 24/7 if you just need to spend some time with your loved one.

Whether it’s just for 5 minutes or longer. The kettle will be on, your feelings will be understood and a hug will always be on offer if you need it.

This is our promise to you.

No life is ever the same, so their service shouldn’t be either.

We promise to take time to listen to your wishes, not to rush or dismiss your questions to better understand how you want the service to be and also who we are looking after.

Doing this has given us numerous 5 star reviews but more importantly we have helped families during a life changing time.

Thank you for trusting us with Ron’s care.

To all the mums that are no longer with us, we still know that your love is ever present. Guiding your children from where ever you are.

And to the mothers of angel babies, our thoughts are with you as well today. We know it should be a time to celebrate but we are sympathetic to those who unfortunately wasn’t meant to be.
