🚨 1,000,000 METERS FOR CHARITY 🚨

In less than two weeks, our community at CrossFit Lùths will row & ride 1,000,000 meters in just 24 hours on Concept2 RowErgs and a BikeErg — all to raise funds for Crossbasket House. Crossbasket House gives families a place to stay while their child is seriously ill in hospital in Glasgow.

This is more than just an endurance challenge. It’s an opportunity for the fitness and performance community to come together for a great cause.

👉 We’re currently looking for brands to partner with us by:

🥤Fueling our athletes with products during the 24 hours
👕Donating raffle items to help raise even more for the charity
👓Supporting the event through promotion and visibility

CrossFit Lùths are taking on the challenge of a Million Meters split over 3 machines (2 rowers and 1 bike) in 24 hours.

We are doing this to give back to a charity that’s helped our member and his family.

On the 7th of May 2025 our lives changed forever when our precious son Caleb, was born with a congenital heart condition. His diagnosis was a Double Inlet Single Left Ventricle, Transposition of the great arteries and a coarctation of the aorta.

As a family we spent 10 weeks in hospital by his side, through two heart surgeries and over 50 nights in intensive care. Staying close to our son during the fight of his life was made possible by an incredible charity called Crossbasket House at the Childrens Hospital in Glasgow.

Crossbasket House is a charity that offers a purpose built facility providing accommodation to families who have a child in hospital. It is set up to offer families a home for home with high quality en-suite rooms, communal kitchen, lounges, library, soft play, garden and is located on site at the Childrens Hospital in Glasgow. It is a rare oasis of calm amongst the storm.

The families that stay at Crossbasket house do so completely free of charge no matter how long they stay. Through this amazing charity we were able to be with our boy every step of the way

Ever wondered why your clean and jerk improved after those slam ball workouts?

It’s not coincidence! 💥

Slam balls are more than just a way to release workout frustration - they’re actually building the EXACT same movement patterns that make you explosive in Olympic lifts.

The magic is in the “triple extension” - that powerful movement where your ankles, knees, and hips all extend simultaneously. This pattern is the foundation of both slam ball throws AND Olympic weightlifting movements like the sn**ch and clean.

When you explosively throw that slam ball, you’re:

• Developing fast-twitch muscle fibres
• Training rate of force development
• Perfecting the timing of your triple extension
