STATION ROAD CLOSURE & ACCESS TO WHEEL ORCHARD CAR PARK
Oxfordshire County Council will be undertaking carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works to a section of Station Road between the junctions with Manor Road and Red Cross Road. The work is scheduled to start on Monday 24th of March and expected to last for four consecutive days between 09:00am and 16:00pm, subject weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances arising during construction.

The works will be completed in two halves to allow access to the car park to minimise disruption.

See below for full details and schedule of work from Oxfordshire County Council and who to contact regarding any problems.

Traffic Management
The works will be completed in two halves to allow access to the car park to minimise disruption. When we lay across the entrance this might see some small delays whilst the material is laid and compacted apart from this access will be from either end.

Monday 24th
Side out to the existing edge of the carriageway surface.
Cold milling to remove the existing carriageway surface. Sweep Clean and leave tidy before opening to traffic overnight.
Entrance into the car park will be changed during the day and gatemen will advise.

Tuesday 25th
Saw cutting and breaking out of joints to existing surfaces.
Adjustment or replacement of any ironwork if and as required.

Resurfacing from the car park entrance heading toward Red Cross road
Access to the car park will be from Manor Road on this day.
Wednesday 26th
Resurfacing from the car park entrance heading down towards Manor Road
Access to the car park will be from Red Cross road on this day
Thursday 27th
• This day has been allowed for any delays or overrun to our program and if required we will provide an additional update in advance.
A No Waiting enforcement comes into operation whilst works are undertaken along Station Road. It would be appreciated if all vehicles could avoid parking on the carriageway for the duration of these works, as this will impede the resurfacing and could delay any works. This restriction would mean that vehicles could be ticketed and removed if required between the permitted hours only.

Gatemen / Traffic Marshals will be positioned at either end of the closure to advise the public and residents for the duration of the works. They will direct traffic and pedestrians to ensure the safety of the public and workforce during working hours. We ask that you give them your full support and heed their advice whether you are a pedestrian, cyclist, or motorist.

Surfacing operations are moving operations so the highest levels of noise will only be experienced by individual frontages for short periods during these works and is why we have chosen this road to be completed during working hours.

Keeping You Informed
OCC are using several methods of communication to keep you informed of these works:

Signs are being placed on site to forewarn road users in advance of the works.

The lazy 8 breathing technique is a great one to learn.

When you need a moment, why not try tracing the figure of 8 on your wrists, hand or chest? Experiment to find out what works best for you.

Feeling stuck in a rut? Is it time to take a new path?

Join this week's by taking a deep breath.

Continue to breathe deeply, slowly, and fully as you imagine yourself on a walk you take often. As you continue down the path you know so well, you notice a new turning, as curiosity seeps its way in, you feel your body being pulled towards this new route.

With your next breath, you notice the earthy smell in the air, like it has just rained, washing this new path clean for you. You continue down this path, not knowing where you will end up, but with each step, confidence builds in you that this is where you are meant to be going.

You begin to feel the stress of the things you want to change fall away from your shoulders. As you near the end of this path you visualise yourself once you are out of this rut, happy, healthy, and thriving.

If you enjoyed this visualisation and feel things have come up that you would to change, why not talk to one of our hypnotherapists to see how they can help you along the way?

I want to share a personal story with you. Last night I experienced a panic attack. This was triggered by a very negative emotional memory of when I broke my leg severely. By using hypnotherapy techniques which I use for my clients I was able to bring the attack under control.

All past events are stored in our subconscious minds. When an event is frightening, thrilling, sad etc., these memories become an ‘emotional memory’. It can only take one trigger for that emotional memory to surface.

Hypnotherapy is superb for managing symptoms of anxiety or panic.

If you can relate to my story, why not get in touch for a chat and let me help you. 💜💜💜
