Thank you so much to all you lovely ladies/women who came along to our Women's Circle at Rouskey Community Centre tonight.. a quality couple of hours, relaxed, making food together and enjoying food round the campfire ... loved it!

A wee reminder our women's circle is meeting again tomorrow evening at 7pm at Rouskey Community Centre ... all women 35+yrs are welcome. Come and join us round the campfire. Take time out and we'll rustle up some tasty food together and cook it over the fire 🔥

Our next Women's Circle meet up is this Thursday 7pm
We have a change of venue this month, we're meeting round the fire at Rouskey Community Centre and this session is funded by the Community Fund to do some cooking on the fire

********IMPORTANT UPDATE*********
With a heavy heart, we are having to cancel our volunteer day this Saturday due to unforseen circumstances beyond our control. We're gutted as we had lots of wonderful 'hands on' activities and environmental learning opportunities for all those attending.....not to mention some quality free food! Our sincere apologies to those who were planning on joining us, and we hope to do it again in the near future. Please could you share this post again to let as many people as possible know. Cheers

🌿 Join Us for a Day of Green Action at Gortin Wellbeing Collective’s Permablitz! 🌿

📅 Saturday, 22nd February. All day from 10am
📍 Gortin Community Forest Garden, Owenkillew Community Grounds, Main Street, Gortin

What’s a Permablitz, you ask? It’s a fun, hands-on day where we come together to create sustainable, eco-friendly spaces while learning new skills and connecting with nature—and each other!

We're excited to announce:

✨ The talented Padraig Donovan will host a green wood workshop, from 10.30am, crafting beautiful natural gates.
✨ Dave Breslin, will be sharing his fruit tree pruning wisdom.
✨ We’ll be busy erecting a chestnut paling fence, digging a wildlife pond, planting fruit, nut, and native trees, and finishing a stretch of woven willow fencing.

Bring your gloves, a shovel, suitable clothing, and your energy—we’ll provide a hot lunch, tea/coffee on tap, and a fantastic atmosphere!

🍰 Sweet or Savoury Treats Welcome! Feel free to bring along some goodies to share (optional)

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a curious beginner, this is your chance to meet like-minded people, learn something new, and make a positive impact on the environment.

Free event, all welcome! Kids can get stuck in, or play around the site. Let’s grow, build, and connect together. See you there! 🌱
