Well ...... January has been incredible in my Slimming World groups in Gosforth.
My members have lost an incredible 985 lbs 🎺

We have crowned our 6 greatest losers , having lost 38 stone 3 lbs 👏👏 life changing.

We have laughed, cried and hugged, and supported each other in our group sessions, which helped develop your mindset and behaviour changes around food and activity 🍈🍉 🏃‍♀️

We have enjoyed curries, lasagne, pancake stacks , dirty burgers , full English breakfast food food food galore

We walked around the block , done park runs , zumba , swam , danced in the kitchen, and smiled 😃

We support 72 members already at their target goal and dream 🌟

And the most exciting thing of all is ...I'm at the forefront of this army . I get to call them all my slimming world family. I'm so lucky.

I am currently around halfway to my target weight having lost just over 1 1/2 stone. After having children my weight had just been slowly creeping up and I was starting to feel more and more uncomfortable in my body and losing confidence - so I decided to stop it in its tracks and start feeling better about myself! It’s been great to focus on me again and with the support of Janice and everyone at group I am determined to keep going and get there slowly but surely! 💪🏻

i have lost 4 and a half stone i love everything g about my journey all the help and support from janice and group i attend and endless support on page my life has changed massively i only drink socially i dont eat takeaways anymore cant drink anything with sugar in and have stopped eating chocolate and cakes

I’ve never been a skinny Minnie ever and never want to be I have too many things in my wardrobe to replace it all - Looking at the first pic I thought I looked canny at the time 😳 I haven’t lost a tonne of weight but the difference when you put the 2 pics together is amazing - other members have done way better than me and have been fabulous with their journey but I will keep chipping away and with Janice keeping a check on me I know I will get there - I don’t miss out on any foods I love all thanks to making changes to the way they’re cooked or what I eat things with filling up on free foods so I’m never left feeling hungry - if you’re thinking about trying slimming world stop thinking and just try 😊

During my Slimming World journey I’ve lost 3 stone — 4 stone in total — and it’s been truly life‑changing. I joined on 27th March 2025 and reached my target just five months later, on 21st August 2025. I really enjoyed those early weeks of learning: understanding what foods truly help weight loss and which ones quietly hold you back made such a difference.
Body Magic was also a huge boost for me. It encouraged me to get outside, get moving, and enjoy fresh air again. I earned my Platinum award on 18th September 2025, which felt like a massive milestone. Exercise is something I’m still working hard to keep up with because it’s helped not only with my weight loss, but also with my mindset — especially during tougher moments when motivation dips.
Since joining Slimming World, making healthier choices has become second nature: knowing what to enjoy more of, and just as importantly, what to have less of. I’m still attending as a Target Member, and that continued support has been invaluable in helping me stay on track and avoid slipping back into old habits.

For years & years a have tried everything to lose weight & become the better version of myself but I never got there. In Nov 2024 I decided to join slimming world as my friend said it work if you stick with it. I joined & never looked back. Yes it’s been hard sometimes & a struggle but the support from Janice has got my there & I am so close to target ! ❤️🫶❤️

I didn't want to join Slimming World. In fact I didn't want to diet but I was waiting for surgery on my ankle and realised that recovery would be quicker if I weighed less. I was very sceptical but was amazed whenI lost 5lbs the first week. I found the whole experience enlightening and encouraging from the positive help from Janice to the camaraderie and encouragement of my class members. In fact my whole journey has been more enjoyable than I could ever have expected.
You absolutely should join slimmimg world. Life changing. This could be you xx
