THAT was a HARD session....and I've still got the cardio to do!
It is good to mix up your training, go heavy for a couple of weeks, but then give your joints and tendons some recovery time and go lighter.
Always ensure you keep your cardio up. Again, you can push it for a couple of weeks, but then fit in some comfortable steady state work.
FLEXIBILITY.....too often this is a notional touch the toes, pull the heel up to the bum and then call it a day!
It is when age creeps up on us that the ability to be agile and comfortable through a full range of movement really matters.
Try to yourself now by ensuring you do a comprehensive flexibility session after every training session.
