Nature for Stress Relief and Healing Workshop
£10 advance booking or £15 on the day, PO12 2RP.
Mother Earth has many ways of helping us heal, mentally and physically. Join us for two hours on Saturday 11th May 10 am-12 noon to explore how we can benefit from connecting to the Earth. We have a beautiful venue to be together in nature in the heart of Gosport, Gomer Infants school has opened its doors to us. There is a small woodland area where we can quietly connect with nature and use of the indoor facilities in case of rain and to make tea.
Connect with Earth physically: shoes made of plastics and spending a lot of time indoors means most of us are isolated from the earth, in an electrical sense. Bare feet on the ground allows electrons to flow into the body and that reduces inflammation. Chronic inflammation causes most common diseases like heart disease, cancer and autoimmune conditions.
Mentally: time spent surrounded by green leaves, bird song, ocean waves or any natural landscape is soothing - if we can step out of our worries and into the present moment to see it. It stimulates our rest and repair biology, we feel better.
Spiritually: in a living Universe, the Earth is a conscious being. To connect on a spiritual level all we need to do is set our intention to connect and be open. I’ll show you how. We’ll sit in meditation and invite in subtle energy, also known as prana or chi, which we can feel in our body. We can also connect via water. Ancient wisdom and recent research reveals water to be a living entity that responds to emotion. Water is synonymous with life! Water is life, and we can connect to the water in the earth and in our bodies to remember our unity.
We’ll use meditation, gentle yoga and mindfulness to connect with the Earth. Put down the doing mode and try just being!
